We arrived just as they were opening the gates and quickly made our way through the lights. We bought a bag of crackers and hung out in the field for quite a time trying to entice the animals to come eat our crackers rather than the ones offered to them by the other 100s of cars out there! HA! This year, though, we had more animals than any other year check out our car and we weren't quite sure what to do:) C hung out the window yelling "Come here deer! Come here cow! Eat cracker! Eeeeaaat!" S sat on the console and was somewhat nervous about having the larger animals come near her which I had not expected. The EXTREMELY large cows came by my window a couple of times and stuck their big ol' noses in my face and I immediately start screaming jumping up onto S's lap on the console to escape. C finally got a cow on his side too and the cow took a lick of his ear making him scream and then laugh and then scream and laugh again - I think there were some mixed emotions about the whole experience:)
After we had enough of the cows, we went to the barn, fed the baby goats a bottle(they were actually hungry this year and gobbled it down!), fed the camels and buffaloes and zebras the rest of our crackers and then warmed up by the fire before getting in the car to head home!
Another fun visit to Hollywild and some good memories made!!
