January Pictures

Clemson played in the National Championship Game - but
unfortunately lost

Such studious little children at the chiropractor!

We ended a date night at the grocery store! LOL!

I HATE shoe shopping with them - especially C, he is so
particular about his shoes!

Baking!

Crafting!

I spent an HOUR trying to return an old modem to Charter -
thankfully I had this tripod stool for hunting in my car that
I use for wrestling practices!

S made a clay nativity scene - apparently Joseph is a duck and Mary is  mouse!!

The middle school planted trees one day - S is on the
right not looking like she is really putting too much
muscle behind that shovel!

C has started taking guitar lessons!

Once he decides he is going to do something, there is NO talking him out of it!
Crepes it is!  And they were actually really good!

First 2020 Snow Day

The forecast was for a day of rain!  BUT, the system arrived early, while it was still pretty chilly, so we ended up with a two hour snow!  It was so beautiful and unexpected!!  The kids feel gypped being in school during the snow and having nothing but rain by the time they got out!  They have their fingers crossed for another "big" snow!

Mother/Daughter Paint Night at BRMS

The middle school hosted a paint night at the school tonight!  S and I had so much fun!  It was even better meeting up with some of our friends to enjoy the night laughing with!  And, when we got home, M said he was honestly surprised mine wasn't awful - not sure if that was a compliment or not;)

Sick Boy

C was down for the count this weekend with a virus!  Luckily, he's had a good day today and seems to have turned the corner!

MLK Day - Sassafras and Pretty Place

I was debating between a day in the mountain or a movie, but it was just so pretty I couldn't resist a day drive in the mountains.

First stop was Sassafras Mountain, the highest point in SC and a spot where you can be half in SC and half in NC!  The kids thought it was pretty neat!  M and I went up there years and years ago, but it was before they had done the observation area and boy does it look nice!

Second stop was lunch at Cedar Mountain Cafe.  It wasn't great, but I was thankful something was open on MLK Day up there!

Next and the last stop was Pretty Place Chapel.  I've taken the kids, and they actually remembered it! It really is such a beautiful view!  There were even some college students up there painting the scene!

We made it back to town in time for me to swing by the office and do a little work before meeting the Sinclairs at the mall for HUGE milkshakes and lots of laughs at Grill Marks!

This was such a fun, low-key, unscheduled-activities day!!

Sugar buzzed little boys!

Wrestling Tournament #3 - Eastside High School

Another tournament, another day of learning, winning and losing!

C got second overall in his weight class with two pins and one loss!

Wrestling Tournament #2 - Byrnes High School

Tournament Number TWO is in the books for C!

He wrestled in the Rookie 10U 75lb weight class.  He had five matches and won two of them - and didn't get pinned which was pretty impressive!  He fought hard!  Just like last time, we had tears, but there were less this time.  And we learned a lot more again!  Growing stronger and smarter each time he wrestles!!

Winner!

That's S at the top right, reading!  LOL!!

Reunion in Lonestar

We spent the day in Lonestar at the annual reunion!  It was the warmest I think it's ever been so we were able to sit and talk for most of the day out on the porch.  While the adults talked and checked out old photos, the kids played on the swing, fished and jumped on the trampoline!  So thankful for more time with family!!
