Halloween 2017

We made it!

This Halloween was a bit different because S had dance and her and I didn't get home until later, but C was able to get with M earlier so he they were at the house ready when we rolled up!  S was allowed to wear her costume to dance, so as soon as we got home, we started Trick-or-Treating the neighborhood!

We met up with the Vergas again this year, and the kids combed the neighborhood like pros!  They came home with more than enough candy and tired legs!!

October

S had an orthodontist appt - and this is definitely an office
the kids don't mind going to!  She is still on track to probably have
braces in a few years!  C had a super loose tooth and the
orthodontist pulled it for him - thank goodness!!

Boosterthon started at the kids' school and at the pep rally
the principal came riding in on a scooter.  I had I missed the
first time she rode in, because she was carrying her dog that time!

C's class got to dress up one day!  The rule at school is no
hats or masks and C's costume has both attached to his
body suit,so we had to improvise!

Locust Hill Fall Festival

We tried a new-to-us even this year at a church that we've done several activities with over the past year or so!  The church is very connected to our school, so we know lots of people there!  And, Gigi joined us!  The kids roasted marshmallows, ate hot dogs, trunk-or-treated and we went on a hayride!  Despite the weather being so cold, we had bundled up and stayed fairly warm and enjoyed our evening!!

Pumpkin Carving

It was FREEZING and WINDY today, but at least it wasn't pouring rain like it was yesterday!

We set up a table and plastic in the garage, and with our new pumpkin carving kits ready, we started the pumpkins!  S did her entire pumpkin by herself, guts and carving(other than cutting the top off!), and did an amazing job!!  C had help from M, and his turned out great too!

I LOVE them and am wondering why in the world it took us so long to get these kits!

were not rotten when we cut into them!

Fairview Trunk or Treat

Our first Halloween event for the year was at Fairview Baptist's Trunk or Treat!  We go to this pretty much every year I think!  It is close and very well done!  There is LOTS of candy and games.  This year there was not a craft station(and C rejoices!) nor bounce houses.  There was a popcorn machine, though, that I do not remember from previous years.  The kids loved that!  It was a fun night for us!

The Rest of Fall Break

There was definitely some laziness involved! 

We had lunch at Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery - we had not
been in a while and they have added SO MUCH to it!  It was a
perfect day to sit and have a delicious lunch!

Our roof is leaking... and it's only 2.5 years old!  Water and
us just do NOT get along!

The kids have Christmas pictures in a couple of weeks so
I took them to Target with me to finalize their outfit.  C was
hating the shirt I got for him to wear, so I bribed him with
his choice of clothing article if he promised to wear it just
the one day for pictures and not complain!  Like the robe he
chose!  Buhahaha!!!
