S and I went to her recital even though she wasn't
able to perform!  I sat in the audience while she
visited with her friends backstage!

We were able to have Grandpa and Gigi meet us up at the lake for the day!  Today was a busy day on the lake, so it didn't allow for much water sports.  But, we ate a lot of food, took some boat rides, met up with the Mays' for a bit and lounged/played at the dock!  

Last Day of School

Well, the kids have finished their last day of 5th and 7th grade!  Both have had amazing years at our new school and have thrived in the environment that comes with a smaller school!  And, C had As all year, S had As/Bs all year and managed to squeak out all As her last quarter!  Very, very proud of them both! After school, both grades had pool parties at different pools for all the kids to enjoy some celebratory fellowship before parting ways for the summer!  Glad to be an Eagle and can't wait to see what the summer and next year brings!

SPG Performance

S has had a foot injury the past week or so, and this afternoon was her first time dancing since then!  She performed beautifully in her studio's performance group ballet and I enjoyed every minute of it!  I'm glad that I did, because she reinjured her foot during the show and will not be able to perform in her recital in a few days!  She's very disappointed, but hopefully she can get it healed up in time for all the summer fun to come!

Lake Day

Today we took our first trip to the lake since M had his shoulder surgery about a month ago!  Because it was such a hot day, we figured the lake would be really crowded, but it was surprising not at all!  We had lunch at the Lighthouse Restaurant - a restaurant where you pull your boat up and dock at the restaurant.  It was nice to have a substantial lunch to start the day instead of sandwiches like we usually have on the dock;)  The kids both tubed forever in a cove not far the the restaurant before we rode back up to our end of the lake.  C did some wakeboarding and picked up right where he left off last year!  While M and I got the boat put away, the kids played in the cove before we left!  Between M's hurt shoulder and S's hurt foot, C and I did a lot of loading and unloading on this trip!  Whew!  Great day!  We should all sleep good tonight!
