3 WHOLE YEARS:)

Well, we have officially been married for 3 years today! Wow, time goes by so fast! It seems like just yesterday we were at Clemson and starting to date. I remember the butterflies when I'd see him and the excitement when he'd call. HA - now if he calls, my first thought is that something is wrong b/c he rarely calls during the day:) So many things have changed over the last three years - we moved from an apt into a house that we built, I've changed jobs/his has grown by leaps and bounds, we added our first baby (furbaby, Abby) to the family, we are preparing to add a sweet little girl in 7 weeks, we've built friendships with other couples and travelled to so many places (within driving distance - we won't pay to fly...haha!). Through all of this we have grown so much closer together and continue to grow each day. I am probably a bit biased, but I have the best husband ever and I thank God that he brought us together and has blessed us with so much!
Just a random picture of a dance class we took:)

Last Shower!

I had my final shower on Sunday! It was a lot of fun and the hostesses were so thoughtful and everything was perfect! Baby Girl Bishop received a lot of things that will be oh-so-helpful to her mommy and daddy when she arrives. And, my MIL, SIL and M's grandmother helped us to finish the room decor with the bedding, baskets and the hamper. I will post pictures of the nursery as soon as I get it cleaned up and organized (such a process!):) I am so excited for our little girl to be here!

The food was amazing - I took some home with me and am still enjoying it!:)M's sister and mom.

I was told the Mylicon drops were a must and I would use them a LOT and to go ahead and stock up!!

Creation and Obesity Explained!!!

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives. Then using God's great gifts, Satancreated Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, 'You want chocolate with that?' And Man said, 'Yes!' and Woman said, 'and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles.' And they gained 10 pounds. And Satan smiled.

And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 6 to size 14.

So God said, 'Try my fresh green salad.' And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their beltsfollowing the repast.

God then said, 'I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them.' And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it 'Angel Food Cake,' and said, 'It is good.' Satan then created chocolate cake and named it 'Devil's Food.'

God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds.

Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition. And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips anddeep-fried them. And Man gained pounds.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonald's and its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, 'You want fries with that?' And Man replied, 'Yes! And super size them!' And Satan said, 'It is good.' And Man went into cardiac arrest.

God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery.

Then Satan created HMOs.

Newest Family Member!!

YAY!!!

Melanie and Sean had their sweet baby boy, William Clayton, Friday 8/10/07 at 9:05pm. He weighed 8lb and was 20 3/4" long. I'll update with a picture when I get one!

Welcome to the family, Will!!!!!!!!!!

Married to an Old Man:)

August 12th was M's 27th Bday! On Saturday night we spend the evening downtown to celebrate. We went to dinner at Wild Wings (trying to keep the event somewhat inexpensive) and then went and got ice cream at Spill the Beans (YUMMM!!!). After feeling like we'd completely stuffed ourselves, we walked around the park a bit and then turned in for the night at the Hampton Inn & Suites downtown! We had a great and relaxing time!
