The Rest of Christmas in Atlanta

Although our time in Atlanta was kinda short, in addition to the American Girl Tea and Medieval Times, we fit a couple visits to the playground and a dinner at a Japanese restaurant with Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jennifer in while we were there!

The kids went straight to the basement to play this when
we got to the house!

More presents!!!!

Medieval Times

On our last night in Atlanta, we all went to Medieval Times to watch the show and have dinner!  This was a first for all of us and none of us were disappointed!!

The food was delicious and the show was very well done and quite entertaining!  The kids scored some light up swords from Grandpa and S caught a flower from our knight, the black and white knight from Santiago!

Such a fun, new experience!!!

American Girl Tea

The kids and I drove down to Atlanta this afternoon for a visit with my family!

On the way into town, we stopped at the American Girl store where we got BOTH(she got Lea for Christmas) of S's dolls' hair done and had tea(this is a first for us as we have always had lunch before!).  S was very excited and loved it!  This was C's first time to American Girl and he declared that he'd prefer not to ever go back again!! Buhahaha!!!

Of course it was packed as we'd expected, but we were able to do what we'd come to do, check out all the new stuff on display and get a glimpse at the 2017 doll of the year!  A fun way to start our visit for sure!!

The Bistro was running behind about 30 minutes, so we
went to Brookstone so this one could reclaim some
manliness!:)

I missed the first round of tea goodies... but this was
the dessert round!

Polar Express Party

We enjoy this tradition of spending a night with friends having good food and fellowship!

Meanwhile, the kids watch Polar Express, decorate train cookies and do crafts!

I think this was hands-down our best one yet!  The kids were actually really good and everyone got along!  So much so that when we went to get the boys to go home, they were all hiding under Mark's bed so that they wouldn't have to leave and could spend the night!  Buhahaha!  I can only imagine how that would go... scary!!!!

This kiddo boycotted wearing pajamas this year! Boo!!!

Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!

The kids woke up this morning super-excited and ready to go!  They did wait until 7am - this is the best rule we've ever had!

They both had very nice Christmases with bikes, iPods and a Crazy Cart that I'm scared to death will cause some dental work to need to be done!

After we finished with presents and breakfast and a quick bike ride through the neighborhood, we packed up and headed to Lara and Elliott's for lunch!

The kids were all bonkers during lunch and it was a loud, excitement-filled afternoon!

Mike and Lynn came over to our house for a quieter dinner and presents before we wrapped up a wonderful, lovely, family Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We have really enjoyed our lazy Christmas Eves!

The kids opened their Christmas PJs from Gigi and Grandpa, we went on a neighborhood bike ride, put out reindeer food and got cookies and chocolate milk ready for Santa!

The kids were put to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!:)
