Saturday - Basketball and Parties

We started our morning with a basketball game!  Last night at practice, C got his first goal and we were sooo wanting him to get a basket during the game today, but it didn't happen:(  Next week is our last game, so maybe he will get it this year, or maybe he will have to wait until next year!  Should be fun to watch him as he really grasps the game!!

The referees at the games are so sweet and helpful!!

We left the game and took S to a school friends party - no pictures because I had to watch C while M took a day trip to St. Matthews!  After killing a bit of time, we went and picked S up and made our way "into town"!  We had about 30 minutes to kill before the next party so we stopped in at the library for some new movies and books!

The second party was for Cousin Jackson!  He turned one and had his party at the fire station which both the kids were thrilled about!  Not to mention Cousin Will and Daven were there to play with so the kids had an absolute ball!  Just as we were getting ready to leave the party, they got a call and two of the firetrucks had to leave with lights and sirens on!  Perfect way to end the party:)

Snow Week

TWO snow storms came through this week!!!

Craziness!

On Tuesday, the kids were out of school due to about an inch or so of snow!  The kids were in heaven and were out playing in it by about 7:20am!!  They played until I made them come in because the dog that lives behind us, a mean German Shepherd, was spotted out!  Then, as fast as it came, the snow melted away!  We were able to continue with our regular Tuesday activities of swimming, Tae Kwon Do and dance and also got our requisite grocery store trip done and swung by the library for some new movies(still no cable!!) in preparation for the BIG ONE coming on Wednesday night!!

Lucky for all involved, Wednesday school was as usual!  C has not been to school in two weeks and it was WAY PAST DUE for him to go, even if just for one day!!

THEN... Wednesday night... this was predicted to happened!!

But, in reality, the way it usually goes down in the south, we got about 1-1.5 inches!  Somewhat disappointing, but at the same time, it was enough for the kids to get to play, sled, have a snowball fight, build an igloo - and then it was gone before we were absolutely sick of it!!

At this point, we are all going a bit crazy and need some "normal" back into our schedules!!

On Friday, ANOTHER delayed school start.  Sooo... again, no school for C:(  Terribly frustrating - not to mention expensive!!  We made the most of it by doing a few crafts and having some play time before taking S to school.  Then C and I met Chelle and Bobby at Chick-fil-A again!  Then, after a few errands, we met Daddy for lunch!  I'm hoping, hoping, hoping for a normal week next week!!!!

First Soccer Practice - Spring 2015

S had her first soccer practice tonight!  She ended up on a team with a good friend from church(unplanned but so so glad it worked out that way!) and it seems to be a great team with a great coach!  It was a frigid first practice, but a very productive one!!  I'm excited to be back on the sidelines again!!!
