Settling Into Our Schedule

Don't speed in a School Zone!  Day ONE of school!

S is still enjoying her sewing lessons - C and I have a lot
of time to kill while we wait;)
He insisted on pulling out all his baseball stuff and having a picture
taken "in jail"!  LOL!

School has worn us all out!

They found these excavating toys that I'd had put away for
who knows how long!  Kept them busy and happy for a bit;)

Little League started!

I've been reading this looong book and have found
myself out on the front porch often trying to find a few
moments of quiet!

Making a home for the worms!

C and I had a lazy afternoon while S was at dance!

Anniversary Date Night

We celebrated our 14th anniversary tonight at Saskatoon!  This is the first time we've eaten here since they moved locations and the atmosphere is just so fun!  And, of course, the food is delicious too:)  We enjoyed the night out and then ended with a little time at Barnes and Nobel.  Doesn't get much better!  Happy 14th Anniversary to us!!!!!

Sky Top Orchard

After I picked the kids up from school, we took advantage of the slightly cooler afternoon and went to Sky Top Orchard!  The kids were treated to both apple cider doughnuts AND apple cider slushies, they humored me and took pictures in the orchard - we did not intend to actually pick and buy apples(it truly is all about the pictures, LOL!), they fed grass(we don't buy the food, too cheap!) to the goats and then randomly ran into some friends there!  The kids climbed the trees, we made them split up because we were not done picture taking with them, and then met up again at the playground where we let them run amok, and finally made them take one last picture(why, oh why, do we even try!?!?!) before saying goodbye and heading home!

They are off!  5th and 3rd grade here they come!  What?!?!?  last year of elementary school for S:(  So incredibly hard to believe, but I'm not going to sit here and dwell on that!

We were up, bright and early!  S is doing the morning news show the first half of the year, and today was day #1 so she had to report first thing!  C was sent to the cafeteria for breakfast and I dropped them off and headed to work!  LONG gone are the days of walking them in to their classrooms!!

Summer's End:(

It's hard to believe that summer is over:(  These are the rest of the pictures from August before the start of school!

Milkshake - because it's hard being drug all around town!

Nate came over for a play date - I think S was at a birthday party!

Our Sunday School has dinner groups where 3 families get together!  The
Georges hosted us and the Weavers!  The boys were crazy!!

The girls were so agreeable!;)

Such a cute movie!

Followed by ice cream in Landrum before their dentist
appointments!
S was at a friend's house spending the night, so him and the
babysitter hit up Yogurt Mountain!

Burrito Babies
Ice cream seemed to be a theme for us this summer;)

Atlanta Trip

The kids and I made a short trip to visit Grandpa and Gigi before school started!  We got there Friday afternoon and the kids were indulged with undivided attention and were able to make a HUGE mess with bath bombs!  They were in heaven!  S crafted the afternoon away while C kept Grandpa playing Foosball and pool!  We took an after dinner walk down the trail to the lake before getting the kids to bed at somewhat of a decent time knowing that Saturday night would be a late one!

Saturday, we spent some time at the pool, S did more crafts while C found Uncle Bobby's Legos and then what was the main event for the trip, the Braves game!  We ate dinner down at the Battery by the new SunTrust Park stadium(dodged the rain and lines perfectly all night I might add!!), got our Chipper Jones Bobbleheads(and were asked to sell them 5 times before we got home - apparently they are quite sought after..lol!), found our seats and enjoyed watching the Braves play the Rockies!

Sunday, we packed up, went to church and drove home in anticipation of school starting tomorrow!:)

Making bath bombs!

More mess = more fun at Grandpa and Gigi's house!

After dinner walk down to the lake:)

Pretending they are on a roller coaster!  Crazies!!

Pool time!

S refurbished the table, adding buttons and streamers, and then decorated
the landing for a tea party!

While the girls drank tea, the boys shot guns!

BRAVES!!!

They received tomahawks at dinner and we taught them
how to use them at the game!

When I was little, I always got super expensive ice cream in a cheap plastic
Braves helmet, so we thought they might enjoy it too:)
