Halloween 2016

We continued what we started doing last year and just stayed in the neighborhood to trick or treat!  SOOO glad that we did because with as many houses that have been built and people moved in, there were a TON of people out and the kids got loads of candy!  It was a good night:)

We put off carving pumpkins til the last minute this year because
we've been doing some major landscaping in our backyard
that has consumed all of our free time!  BUT, after school,
the kids and I got busy emptying out the guts and drawing the
faces so that what M came home, he could cut out the faces and
our jackolanterns would be complete!

Where Did October Go!?!?!

I took the kids out of school early for S's nine year
old check up, and I got them a little earlier than I
actually needed to and treated them to an hour at
the park:)  They weren't complaining!

This NINE year old had a great appointment!

Fall brings amazing sunrises!!

This kiddo had a very sick week and was out of school
a few days!

She wanted an audience!;)

I spend a lot of time cooking! A LOT!!!  This was a
recipe for cream sauce from my new Pioneer Woman
cookbook:)

Another sick day...:(
I pre-ordered this several months ago, and it just came!!!
And I read it within 3 days:)

S came down for school... but forgot to put on her shorts and
was ready to walk out in her pj shorts!  LOL!!

M took C on his first hunting trip

Front porch reading on a fall afternoon!

In memory of Skyla:(

I got to go field trippin' with this cutie to the park!

Moustache Day at school - they loved it!

ANOTHER sick day!?!?!?

And just when he's getting better - rash!  It was a
rough 2 weeks for sure!

Bowling birthday party!

Ummm... this is an interesting way to cut it!
Neighbor boy and S chatting about life on the back porch -
such sweet innocence!!

This was waaaay messier than I anticipated!
Making bookmarks and bracelets to raise money for

Taylors Mill Fall Festival, Downtown Greer Trick or Treating and Enchanted Forest

With the kids' schedules being so crazy now that they are getting older, it seems I don't have both of them at the same time much for the fun stuff!  This week, I've taken them individually and done some things with them because it seemed it was going to be impossible to make it happen with both of them together!!

Taylors Mill Fall Festival
They are trying to revamp the Taylors Mill and this year hosted a fall festival complete with music, food trucks, kids' games and vendors.  I took S to this one and we both enjoyed it very much!  I'm glad the boys did not join us on this one, though, as I don't see them being nearly as entertained as we were!  I bought some jams and honey, while S scored a pair of dangly earrings which she has worn every day since then!:)

Downtown Greer Trick or Treating
After dropping S off at dance, C and I checked out a new-to-us event and went downtown Greer to trick-or-treat!  He was excited to be getting some candy so he even posed for a couple of pictures for me!  This place was absolutely insane!  I am very thankful we got there early, but even doing so, it was chaos and unorganized and lines that just went on for blocks that were not a line for anything - people just saw a line and got it in!  LOL!!  Luckily, we got our candy and bolted!  We saw a few people there we knew and C enjoyed checking out everyone else's costumes!

Enchanted Forest
M took C on his first hunting trip leaving a free Friday night for us girls!  Amanda and I met up with the kids at Enchanted Forest for some fun!  The kids ran through the maze a couple of times, played all the games, we went through the Enchanted Forest trick-or-treating and then ended the night watching the kids in the bounce houses!

Fairview Trunk or Treak

I took the kids to a local church to do trunk-or-treating tonight!  We've been to this one several times and it has always been a lot of fun and we tend to see a lot of people we know while we are there!  The kids had a ball getting candy, playing games, making crafts, climbing on the fire truck and winning a cake walk!  It was a fun night and I'm glad we were able to make it again this year!

Game on 10/1/16:

Game on 10/15/16:

Last Game was today, 10/22/16, and they got their trophies!  The coach said a little something about each of the boys, his comment about C was that he was "fearless - not afraid of anything!"  Yup, that's my boy!!
