Easter

This morning we were able to lazy around a bit before church since we didn't have Sunday School and I was serving in the nursery during the second service - and we were still almost late!  Lol!!

The kids woke up to goodies from the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt planned by the bunny himself:)  The eggs even had money in them!  The kids were in heaven!  The Easter Bunny is getting smarter too it seems!  He brought each of the kids just a little candy and then a small toy each!  The less candy the better around here.

 

After church we headed over to Elliott's house for lunch and pure cousin craziness!!!!  Always a wild time over there!

PawPaw

Today we went to Salisbury, NC to celebrate the life of my grandfather who passed away last week.

My PawPaw was a great and kind man and I'm thankful for the years that I had with him and that my children had with him!  It was a sweet service the did a wonderful job of depicting who my grandfather was but, of course, it was sad too!

He will be missed!!

I'm glad so much family was able to come and say goodbye together!

This was the last time we saw PawPaw this past Thanksgiving!  He was doing so
well during this time and I'm thankful for this last memory of him with us!

Our family met for lunch before the funeral services started.

Good Friday!

Spring Break has begun here!!

Only 2 snow days were used, so the kids had today off of school because it was not used as their 3rd snow day!  We were all glad of a slow starting morning and some time to get things done!  After the gym, errands and swim practice, we dyed eggs!  Always, always fun - and messy!!!!

Oh my!  I use to call this kiddo Little Legs, but watching him
out on the playground while S was at dance proved that he is
growing, growing, growing!  Those legs are getting long and long
gone is the chubby little fatty thighs I use to get to squeeze:(

I was in charge of planning S's teacher's baby shower!  It turned
out to be a great success, but it's been weighing on my shoulders
for a couple of months now and I'm glad that it is over and that
everyone had a fun time!

The same day as the baby shower, C's class was having a breakfast
party and I had supplied the griddle.  I was not able to attend his party
because of the shower, but I did get to go pick him up before getting
S and heading home!

Soccer Update

C has really taken to soccer this time around!  In his 2nd and 3rd games, he scored a goal and was seriously after the ball!  He understands defense a little too and is just an all around pretty good little player!

SS Egg Hunt

After church today our Sunday School class and their families came over for an egg hunt and hot dog lunch!  The company was great, the kids were crazy and the memories priceless!  We love these friends so much!!

I wouldn't let them get eggs without getting a picture first!  Lol!!

Easter Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt

This morning we joined the Easter Bunny for breakfast at Chick-fil-A!  We probably had some of the oldest kids there, and decided this would probably be our last year doing this...SAD!!!  But the kids did love it and enjoyed eating, coloring(and fighting over the crayons, of course!), playing in the play area, taking the obligatory pictures with the bunny himself!

After we finished, we headed over to Century Park in Greer for their annual egg hunt!  We got there and it was crowded, but after we'd been there for a little bit it was really, really crowded!  They do their egg hunt by age, so C did his first with the 4-5 year olds and then S did hers with the 6-8 year olds.  In hindsight, we should have just had them both do the 6-8 year old group because we waited for quite a while for S's egg hunt and the line probably would have been a lot shorter if we'd done it first!  Oh well!  Both kids came away with a good loot!  We let C shoot a sling shot that the boy scouts had out there and both of them climbed through the firetruck and by that time we were hungry(again!!)!
