Boring Weekend

I had great plans to do a bunch of family stuff this weekend!  However, with the cold temperatures, M spending TWO days cutting the grass and the kids having some attitude issues, we pretty much did nothing!  Ugh!!

S did have one very chilly soccer game Saturday morning!

Easter Party and Egg Hunt

C's class Easter Party was this morning.  He was so super excited about it and insisted that I needed to stay and go to the gym with them as well(since it was raining outside and they wouldn't be going on the playground)!  They also did the quickest egg hunt ever, where they were limited to 3 eggs.  It seriously took all of 5 seconds for the kids to find their eggs!  They had a ball, though, and I love watching C in his school environment!

Tonight, we braved the cold weather and the kids and I ventured out to an egg hunt that really felt more like a fall festival!  There were games, inflatables, face painting, food and of course eggs to find!  The kids loved it, even though we about froze during our picnic dinner:)

Walking in for the egg hunt.

Chaos as the kids run to get eggs!!

S had pajama/pizza/spring cookie day at school!

Check out the loot!!

Even C got into it!

C insisted on doing the basketball game:)  Of course!

Knock over the milk jugs!  Both kids were surprisingly good
at this!

A Day with Gigi

Gigi jumped into a day in our crazy lives today!!

She got up early with us to take S to school and then we came back to the house and entertained C(while I read.. ahh!!!)!  It was soon time to go to swim practice where C, yet again, rocked it!  After swim we made our way to lunch and ran some errands before it was time to go get S from school!  When we got home, Gigi did homework with S and got a couple of things for S's room done(don't worry, I wasn't just reading this time, I was prepping dinner!) before going to S's soccer practice!

It was a full day(as usual) and I know the kids enjoyed their time with Gigi!

Soccer, Kayaks and Egg Hunts

This weekend started off with an early Saturday morning at the soccer fields!  Pictures were taken before the game, and of course it was on a weekend that we had the earliest game!:)  After the pictures were finally done, the girls played a great game!  Just in the few short weeks they have been playing together, their teamwork skills have improved drastically!  So fun to watch!

Saturday afternoon we took the kayak out!  It was mine and the kids' first times going, but M had been a few weeks ago while we were out of town!  The weather was perfect!  We joined half of Blue Ridge at the park where we unloaded the kayak into the lake:) M and C took the first spin and then it was time for me and S to do our thing!  I love pedaling the kayak - it makes it go sooo fast!  It was also a great workout!  I taught S how to use the paddle as well!  It took me back to my days on the crew team and how many hours I spent during my college time on the water!  We all loved it!:)

Sunday, after church, Gigi came to town!  We took the kids to a local Easter egg hunt and dinner!  The church where we went did such a great job with crafts, games, egg hunts and dinner!  It was a fun, and as always exhausting, afternoon!!!  The egg hunt had the kids divided by age, and the kids were in different age groups.  I took C and Gigi took S!  Both kids came away with a bunch of eggs and were so excited about hunting eggs that they came home and promptly started our month of at-home-egg-hunts that seems to happen each year!
