January

Card playing!

See all those little hands and knees... such a sweet time(and
a bit on the distracting side if I'm completely honest!) to see
these kids in worship together!

Such a CUTE sewing project that S gave to one of her friends for
a late Christmas present!

Balancing(me, far left) at a church childrens' leadership training!

Date night!

C has become the smoothie master - seriously, he makes them
every day!!
She finally got her split!

Working on his math facts as he played an iPod game, Prodigy!  He's a bit obsessed!

Swamp Rabbits Hockey Game

We enjoyed a Greenville Swamp Rabbits game this afternoon!  They lost, but it was a fun game nonetheless!

Gigi Visits

Gigi surprised us today at C's basketball game!  She was able to watch C play a great game and then joined us for the rest of our day!  Jason's Deli was on the menu for lunch and then we made a stop by Sock Basket to get S some new ballet shoes(both of the kids' feet are growing faster than we can keep them in shoes!).  C then had his baseball evaluations for minors.  It was a packed day and Gigi got more than she'd bargained for - all good things, though, of course!

Lazy MLK Day

The kids had today off for MLK Day, but we really didn't do too much and took the day to be a bit lazy:)  It was nice!

S did have her sewing class this morning while C and I went to the gym.  After lunch we played Bingo, watched TV and just hung out!

Now, back to reality!

Bowling

We went to a birthday party at Spare Time and the kids did some bowling!  C was pretty competitive and was determined to finish out the second game even though we were told that it was time to move on to the arcades!

Basketball Game

I finally had my good camera at a game:) And I still didn't get anything too great!  Oh well!

That kid was SO ALL!!  C is #44 in this game
because he left his jersey at home and had to end up borrowing
one from a kid on another Taylors team!

Family Reunion

We enjoyed time with the Langston Family at our annual reunion today!  The kids have been looking forward to it and it's all we've heard about for a week!  It was a chilly day, so the adults spent most of the time inside, but the kids didn't mind the cold and enjoyed running around the farm with the dogs and jumping on the trampoline.  The men took the little boys squirrel hunting with a hunting dog - isn't that kinda funny?!?  S and her cousin Maggie fished in the pond and caught 4 bass - I'm just thankful that Maggie knows how to take a fish off the hook because all of the guys were still gone and I sure can't do it!  Love country living!!!!

Clemson Wins the National Championship!

What a season Clemson has had and it has been so much fun to watch!

They played Alabama in the championship game tonight in California and WON HUGE!!!  44 - 16!  Such a great game to watch!

We recorded it for the kids to watch later so it'll be on the DVR for awhile - it'll never get old!

Basketball Game and Roller Skating

M is still sick, so we had to go to C's basketball game without him.  It was at Locust Hill Baptist Church which is close to our house and where a lot of our friends play basketball so it was fun for C, and gave him a little extra incentive to play hard, to go against boys that he knew!

The teams were very evenly matched, making for a great game!  And, we won:)

After the game and lunch, I took the kids and some friends roller skating!  We weren't the only ones with the idea and we saw several kids from school that we knew.  The kids wore themselves completely out(mission accomplished!) and had a fun time with their friends!

Ice Skating

I took the kids ice skating at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, where the Greenville Swamp Rabbits play hockey and we all skated!!  It was a lot of fun!  C is a complete daredevil and I was somewhat concerned for the other skaters.  S is a very cautious skater, but started getting enough nerve to get away from the wall towards the end!  I skated with them for about an hour and a half and then there were just too many people there and I was worried someone would run into me and knock me down and I'd never recover(honestly, this was my fear!).  The kids skated for another hour or so and we finally decided it was time to leave with sore feet and ankles and hungry bellies!

Happy New Year - and C's 1/2 Birthday

The kids and I took today to go use some gift cards:)

First stop, Starbucks!!!  This was more for me than them, but I had a generous amount on a gift card, so I shared with them:)

Then, on to Barnes and Noble to spend the gift cards they received from Uncle Dale!  We spent a LONG time here figuring out exactly which books to get!  They both made great choices and I can't believe that neither of them asked for anything except books!
