Halloween

I spent the first part of the morning going between the kids' Halloween parties!

C's was first, with a trick or treat parade through the church followed by a class party!  I loved watching him interact with his classmates, really relished the fact that he listened to his teacher!!!, and enjoyed meeting the other kids/parents in his class!

After his party was over, the parents were allowed to go on the playground with the class, but I had to rush off to S's class party so I told C "bye" and was on my way!

S had had a field trip to the library that morning and they were having their party at Kids Planet playground just down the street(this couldn't have worked out any better for me, logistically speaking!)!  I arrived a little after the buses got there but found her on the playground just before it was time for their party!  She has such a sweet class this year and I enjoy watching her as she grows socially!  I met more parents of the kids in her class(2 of which live in our new neighborhood!!) and after the buses left with the kids whose parents were not at the park, I let S play for a while longer before we headed to get C from school!

After playing for a while at C's school on the playground, we went home to rest up for a late night of trick or treating!

We started out meeting our old neighbors on our old street!  So good to see all of them:)  The kids loved seeing their old friends and hanging out for a bit, and of course loved getting lots of goodies as well!  After we finished our street, we told the neighbors bye and came back to our new house!  We briefly saw the Shirleys before they left to go somewhere else, and then trick or treated down our street and around the lake before we called it a night and came inside!  We gave the kids baths and tucked them into bed - and 3 minutes later the skies opened up and it poured!!!!  SO SO glad we had already finished our festivities and were warm and dry in our house:)

Happy Halloween!!
Let's go trick or treating!

My friend works at the church an was nice enough to get
a picture of C as he came by trick or treating:)  I'm pretty sure
he wasn't as scared as he looks!!
Goof ball!!!

Party time!

Both kids changed costumes about 2 hours before
it was time to leave!  S ended up wearing her costume from
last year and C had Batman/Superman/Spiderman on!

I was proud of myself for remembering to bring

some as well!

Trunk or Treat

This is the second year we've gone up the street to a local church's trunk or treat!

We arrived a little before they opened the gates so that we wouldn't have to wait in too long of a line and get home too late!

The kids were so good and so excited as they remembered how much fun it was last year:)  They opened the gates and we made our rounds around the ball field collecting candy from all the awesomely decorated trunks(although, I think a few of them had very poor taste in their decorations and were too scary for this event, but I digress!!).  I ended up having to carry C's candy bucket because it was "too heavy"!  Obviously the kids picked up quite the candy loot!

After we collected more than enough candy, the kids played a few games, bounced in the bounce houses made a very gluey-glittery pumpkin craft!  M showed up toward the end and was able to help me get the kids and all their stuff to the car and even had to help back my car out of the parking spot because the parking lot was pure chaos!:)

It was a fun evening and I hope this is a tradition that the kids will continue to enjoy for many years!!

We ran into one of S's friends from school who had also played
WeeBall with us last spring!

Look at all those bouncing Elsas!  HAHAHA!!!  It was
so funny that they all just happened to be in there at one time!
I think there were 4 of them in there, and one Batman(C!)!
S is the one in the middle of the picture!

A very messy craft - but I think the level of messiness made
it more enjoyable to C!

Denver Downs with Cousins

Oh my goodness!!!  This place was so so so much fun and I honestly think we could have spent an entire day there!  The kids are the perfect age to be able to enjoy everything there, and not too old for any of it yet!

We met the cousins there, Will and Madeline, and the kids were off!  I love that they have so much fun together and will grow up knowing each other and spending time together!  The kids and adults enjoy the company!:)

The kiddos spent the afternoon bouncing on this huge inflatable trampoline thing, swinging on ropes in the hay stacks, riding the cow train pulled by a tractor, cheered on the pigs while they raced around the track, made our way through the corn maze, did the zip line and were gerbils in a pipe:)

After a great time at Denver Downs we went back to the Sudduth's house for dinner, chatting(adults), playing(kids) and marshmallow roasting!!

We are definitely making this a tradition!!!!!

Forget the sand, playing in corn is so much more fun!
