Robert's Wedding Weekend

This weekend my little brother got married!

The kids and I were in the wedding, so after getting them out of school early, we joined the millions of people on the road for Memorial Day Weekend.  The traffic was bad, but I've definitely been in worse.

We arrived at my parents house where we were staying in time to catch our breath and get changed before it was time for the rehearsal.  All of us went to the rehearsal and the kids were so excited to find out what exactly they were going to do since this was the first wedding for both of them(S was flower girl and C was ring bearer)!  After a successful rehearsal, M took the kids home to get them in bed while I hitched a ride with my parents to the rehearsal dinner!  It was a great night with great food!!!

Trying on his tux before we went to the rehearsal:)  Cutie!!

Wardrobe malfunction for M!  Buhahahaha!!!

Check out Mr. Bad Attitude in the background!  LOL!!!

Saturday we started pretty slow!  At lunchtime, M took the kids to Shannon and JG's pool where they were hosting an all day BBQ pool party for the family guests!  It was a perfect way to keep everyone entertained since the wedding did not start until 7!

C playing with my favorite toy as a kid - BoomBooms:)

Apparently C was teaching Bo how to do swim team starts:)
While they were there, I started getting ready and joined the rest of the bridesmaids for some pictures and prep and then the wedding party converged at Roswell Mill's covered bridge for pictures.  It was a gorgeous day and I'm so glad that everything came together so perfectly for them!

After lots of pictures, we arrived at the hotel with time to freshen up and "relax" before the ceremony!  The ceremony went off without a hitch, the kids did perfect, and Robert and Jennifer were married!!  WOOHOO!!

Time to celebrate at the reception!

Bell Family Girls:)

Uncle Carl and S - There is no telling what he is whispering in her ear!!

Uncle Richard kept C thoroughly entertained!!

New friends, Naomi and Lydia, got S on the dance floor!

Leaving the reception:)

He didn't make it out of the parking lot!  He was exhausted!!
It was after midnight at this point so who could blame him!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kesler!!!!

Mock Swim Meet

Since we started swim team practice, about 2 weeks ago, we've been able to make it to about 3-4 practices due to other commitments!  The new coach this year is super-tough on the kids and pretty much every kid out there is way out of shape!  My kids have had a hard time finishing the practices because they are so hard and grueling!  Not to mention the water is freezing!!!!

But, they made it, and tonight we had a mock meet with 3 events and just the kids on our team to get everyone, parent volunteers included, back in the groove of how a meet runs!  Both kids swam freestyle and backstroke and did great!  I am going to be a timer/recorder this year and that was pretty fun too!  M's schedule has changed since last year and he gets off a bit early than he use to, and our meets are starting slightly later, so he is able to run interference with the kids while I help with the timing.  I think it's going to work really well!!

Afterwards it was ice cream and cookies all around!  This brought the kids' spirits back up about swim team and made them more excited about the rest of the season!

K5 End of Year Field Trip

This morning/afternoon was C's last field trip of the year!  They had a family park/picnic day and invited any parents or siblings who wanted to join!  I made it up there just before "lunch"(10:30am when you are in K5 public schools!!!) with lots of water, Gatorade and a chicken biscuit for the boy!  He was loving being a daredevil on top of the playground, as always, and some of the moms with only girls about had heart attacks!  Such is life with crazy boys!!!  It was fun to watch him interact with friends and enjoy a day at the park:)

Field Day 2016

After C's awards, I went outside to find S doing her stuff at field day!  I missed about half of it:(, but am glad I was there for what I could be!  At first she didn't want to get wet, but that soon changed when she was hosed down by one of the library workers outside!  She was soaking wet, and I am so glad that she didn't melt down because of it but instead embraced it with a smile and got into the water games!  It honestly could have gone either way!!!  She enjoyed the time outside being crazy and silly with her friends!

After S finished up with her field day, C came out for his(I was, yet again, at the school ALL.DAY!!!).  I have never been to a field day before because I've always had him and the chaos just was never worth it to me, so needless to say, he had no clue what was going to happen!  He was all smiles all afternoon!  He was so so so well behaved and participated and had such a fun time being a crazy 5-year-old boy!  I was able to meet some of his good buddy's moms and get to see some that I've known from other activities!  It's fun to watch him make his friends just as S has done the past few years!

A good day was had by all and we were all ready to get home and catch our breath after all the activity of the day!!

This is how I found her when I first came out!  Nice and dry:)

But not for long!  Lol!!

Stella H, Goldie, Shelby, S

S and Stella H. - what are the odds that two girls would be in the same class with
the same name and be such good friends!?!?

Goldie, Shelby and S

C's turn - he is pretty much in the middle of the picture with the green shirt on!

Cuties!!

This was his favorite game of the day!

The assistant principal got the hose out and was spraying the kids!!  What a blast!
