Thanksgiving in Raleigh

We love Thanksgiving!  It is hands down my favorite and the kids I think enjoy it a lot too - and M does too;)

We arrived on Wednesday night in Raleigh and met Grandpa and Gigi for dinner at our traditional Dame's Chicken and Waffles and then perused Bass Pro until I could peruse no more!  We checked into the hotel and called it a night!

I think he would have stayed here in Bass Pro all night!

Yesterday we spent most of the day at Chaney's eating, talking, playing, eating and talking some more!  After we could eat and talk and play no more, we came back to the hotel and ordered food from the bar and ate in the lobby with Grandpa and Gigi.

breakfast in the room by these three!

Today we met everyone at the fish camp where again we ate and talked and played!  We left mid-afternoon and drove back home with happy hearts and tight pants!

Spartan Kids Race

The kids participated in their first Spartan Race this morning!  S did the two mile race and C did the one mile race - this was based on their ages!  However, next time I think I'll sign them both up for the two mile:)  They had a BALL!!!  They were both asking when they could do it again!  Oh, it was so cold and so stinkin' muddy everywhere from the rain yesterday and we all went home a mess!  Even though we had changes of clothes, the mud was on everything!  When we got home and told M about it, he decided he'd like to do one too!  Guess we'll be signing up for another;)
