Fall Festival

Happy Halloween!

We went to our church's fall festival this afternoon! They did an amazing job with train rides, fair-type rides, inflatables, a cake walk, food and lots of candy!! It was, though, super crowded!!! It was cute to see my kids dressed up (my beautiful ballerina and handsome frog) and watch S thoroughly enjoy herself!

After we got home, the "boys" from across the street came trick-or-treating to our house and took S on her first trick-or-treat experience across the street to another neighbor's house. Man, she was in heaven!!! I guess three years old is when they really start understanding more about holidays!

S'Mores!:)

Nothing like s'mores on a chilly night! We've had our chiminea for so long and have never thought to do this! That is going to have to change!

Oh Boy! Kelley's Baby Shower

This morning I helped to host Kelley's baby shower! We went to Mimi's Cafe which was a wonderful idea! Much better than having to worry about getting my house in order to host it here since this place constantly looks like a bomb went off:) C-Man came with me and was such a good boy. Kelley got lots of good loot! I can't wait for her little guy to get here. Having cousins so close in age will be so fun for family get togethers!!

Oh What Fun!

We headed to the Pavilion today. Oh it was so fun!! The inflatables are always a big hit with S!! Then, for the first time, S tried out walking on the ice rink. They have some pipe "walkers" so that the kids can hold on and not fall down. Well, they don't fall until they let go. So, the fun lasted all of about 2 minutes before S ate it and landed on her chin. OUCH!! Nothing a little train ride couldn't fix:) It was a great morning but I wish we could have spent even more time there!!

Moments I Don't Want to Forget

S is so theatrical! Watch where she does the fish!

Poor C! He is going to be one tough kid with S as a sister:)

Fall Harvest Festival

Although I was really hoping to go to the Clemson game this weekend, we ended up at yet another tractor show. I know, shocker!! S got to see her first tractor pull and was absolutely enthralled!! She was jumping up and down so excited when she'd see them coming. So fun:) We also ate BBQ smoked in a train and ice cream made by a tractor engine (I really just go for the ice cream)!

Horse Party

We LOVE horses and were so excited to have a birthday party at the horse farm! Maybe next year we'll do S's birthday here if she still enjoys riding as much as she does now - which I am sure she will:) She gets it from her cousins!

Teething

Please excuse the bags under the eyes and the lack of energy, but for the past two weeks we have been somewhat sleep deprived! After about the first week, C cut his bottom two teeth! Ahhhh... so there was a reason and now we'll get some much needed rest! The night after he cut his second tooth we got 10 hours!!! We thought we were done for a while, but the very next night we were up again. WHAT!?!?! Is it more teeth? I dunno!

Here is what last night looked like for us and pretty much every other night for the last two weeks(except that one 10 hour night):

7:45pm S to bed
8:30pm C to bed
10:30pm C awake
11:00pm coyotes howling outside window(really!?!?!)
1:30am Abby(our dog) barking
2:15am C awake (fed him this time)
4:30am C awake
6:00am M up for work and me up to shower before kids get up
6:30am C and S awake
7:10am S up for the day
8:00am C up for the day

Is it nap time yet??

Picnic at the Park

On Saturday there was so much to do around town, and we did none of it. We wanted to, don't get me wrong, but we just ran out of time. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and I hated missing out on all the fun fall-ish stuff! So, to make me feel better(hehe) we went downtown and had a picnic at the city playground. Ahhhh.... just what the doctor ordered!

S's Family Birthday Party

It is more than a week after her real birthday, but since baby dedication was today, it seemed easier just to do both a family birthday party for her and the dedication for C on the same day! S was really surprised when we got home from church and everyone was coming over to see her (and C, but don't tell her that b/c she just assumed they were all there just for her!). To say she was excited about the presents is an understatement! She LOVES getting presents, particularly the opening of them. She knows now, though, that she will not be having another birthday party until she turns four!!!

C's Dedication

This morning C was dedicated at church! He did such a great job and looked so handsome in his outfit (thanks, Amanda!).

"The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
Zephaniah 3:17

Thank you Lord for our sweet little boy!

Another Friday on the Farm

So sad that this is our last Friday on the Farm for a while:( Today the kids cooked gingerbread over an open fire, enjoyed a scavenger hunt around the farm, decorated gingerbread men with different spices and of course enjoyed the fruits of their labor or cooking!! We love our Friday mornings:)
