The Rest of Our Crazy Week

Dance brothers!  Rotting their brains:)

Cupcake time!

It's hard to tell, but M was leaving early one morning for
the gym and went off the driveway and into the ditch!  I'm
just glad he did it before me!!!:)  Now he can't be mad when I do it!

S tried a new dance studio this week with thoughts of switching
to somewhere closer next year!  C sure did miss his buddies while
we waited!

Wearing her new dance sweater from Gigi!  It wasn't even a
dance day, she just loves it!

This about sums it up!

I had earned so much credit at the gas station that the price
took me back to my high school days - $.88/gallon! Excuse
my poor dried out thumb!  There just isn't enough lotion in the
world that can help!!

Blizzard 2016:)

Thursday night it started snowing/sleeting and the kids(and M and I) were excited to see some white stuff!!  Friday morning the kids attempted to play in it, but between sleet/ice coming down and the wind whipping, it wasn't very much fun!  We had our neighbors over for drinks and then the dads took the kids down to try out sledding for a bit!  It was sooo cold!  They came back ready for some hot chocolate!

This was insane!!!

And so was this!  No milk, bread, chips or bacon!  Comfort foods??:)

Covering her face to keep from being pelted with ice!

Friday night we got some nice, powdery snow for a grand snow fall total of about 8 inches!  Woohoo!!!  Now this was some stuff we could play in!  We were out early at the front of the neighborhood sledding on Saturday morning:)  After a couple of hours, we decided it was time to warm up and get some lunch!  We spent the afternoon by the fire, drinking warm stuff, playing board games and watching TV.  M took the kids out in the late afternoon for one more sledding adventure, but I opted to stay in the warm house this time!:)

By today, the snow had turned to ice and we were now able to get out of the house!  We met Grandpa, who was travelling from NC back to Atlanta, for lunch and then S and I spent the rest of the afternoon at the doc-in-a-box(we waited 3 hours and spent a total of 4 hours there!!!!)!  She had started running a low grade fever on Saturday and since she still has the cough that started about a month ago with her fever virus, I wanted to make sure it had not gone to her ears or lungs!!  She was clear, and honestly felt fine by the time we actually saw the doctor - of course!

The snow was fun, but we are all about ready for normalcy again!!

MLK Day Fun

We had a play date at our house this afternoon with some friends! The kids had a ball!!  The girls quietly playing American Girl while the boys were crazy and rambunctious!  That's about right!

This Week...

Our week has been filled with lots of the usual and lots of inside time!

I have never liked January/February because of the gloomy, cold weather.  However, the past couple of years have been filled with sickness and injuries - and that is the way it continues to go for us!  We finally got S over her 8 day fever, only to have her run into a wall with her head, start throwing up, end up in the ER with a concussion, but thankfully there was no further damage done!!

Clemson played in the National Championship!  They lost,
but it was an amazing game!
We were up sooo late!  I came home the next day after dropping
the kids off at school and took a 2 hour nap!

C's misspelling made me crack up!

Cold days at dance!

While S was at piano(a new place) we were able to go
to the church playground and play!  I'm glad we are close
to somewhere to play so that we don't have to sit and wait in the car
for 30 minutes every week!

More dance!  She borrowed that sweater from a friend in class and
I just love it!  S will be getting one:)

M and several other dads took the boys to a hockey game!  They were out way late
and C didn't get in bed until 10:30 - I totally paid for it the next day!  But they had a ball!!

While the boys were at the hockey game, S and I had a girls' night
in with Monopoly, hot chocolate and Descendants.  She declared
it the best night ever!:)

So I fell asleep on the couch for no more than 20 minutes and
this is what I find when I get up!  Bottomless pits!!

Helping in the kitchen!  C loves helping to cook and asks freguently
and S is willing to help if asked!
In the ER after the head injury!  We didn't get home until
2am!!!  Needless to say she took at 4 hour nap the next day!

While S napped, C and I ran some errands and made some
returns...

And then ended at the park for his very delayed end of
the year tball party and medal presentation!

S was not ready to go to church because of her noggin, so
I stayed home with her and we entertained ourselves with
American Girl doll play and Easy Bake!

Interesting Sunday

All started normal, but soon went crazy!!!

We were sitting in church, and maybe 10 minutes into the music, the fire alarms start going off, only we couldn't hear them because the music was so loud, but we could see the lights on the alarms flashing!  Everyone kinda looked around to see what we were suppose to do, the praise team kept going, so we sat and wondered for about 2 minutes before we were ushered out the door - and were not allowed to go down to the kids area and were told they were already out at the back side of the church!  Can I just tell you that I was sooo glad that this was my off week from the nursery!?!?  Just imagine trying to get 10 infants out of the building, most not wearing coats because they are carried into church in their carriers with blankets over them!  Whew!!!!!  About 6 fire trucks showed up and told us all to go home.  Sooo... we had to walk around the church, which in heels felt about like a mile hike, to try and find our kids!  Our kids weren't in coats this morning and either and were pretty chilly by the time we found them!  A lot of excitement for our morning!!

All outside and not quite sure what to do next!!  A few minutes later
we were told by the firemen to leave!

Since it was only 11am now, we went with two other families to Fuddruckers(but they were closed for some odd reason), Josie's Chuck Wagon(a new place close to the church which by this time was packed out and could not accomodate 13 people) and then finally ended up at Monterey's!

Things were going smoothly, and everyone was happily shoving chips down their throats and dripping salsa on their church clothes!  But, I tell ya, as soon as the bellies were full, two little crazy boys went to town!!  Monkeys!!!  M finally took them outside to get some energy out without disrupting the rest of the restaurant, and you would not believe how quiet and peaceful it was when they left!  HAHA!!  A while later he brings them back in and apparently they had been swinging a metal gate back and forth and it found Lincoln's face - and chipped his tooth!  Poor kid!  Thank goodness it was a baby tooth!!!

Taken by Lincoln's sister unbeknownst to us!!
