Randoms from June

On the kids' last day of school, I enjoyed  a last quiet walk
before the crazies are home!!

And, the first morning of summer looked like this - don't mind
C's legs, he got Sharpie happy at the swim meet!

Playdate with the Sinclairs!
S and I had a girls' morning out - starting with cake pops(and COFFEE!)
and ending with mani/pedi:)

Abby had her yearly shave and cut, so we brought her back to
our house to play for a bit before taking her back to my inlaws!
After she pooped THREE times and the kids had to clean it up,
they said that they thought she was ready to leave!  LOL!!

We joined our cousins at a new local brewery for "Hymns and
Hops" one Sunday evening!

Even got a picture of us while we were there!

Summer break means kids accompany me to appointments
and errands - eye appointment seen here!

But they get rewarded with happy hour specials
at Culvers!  Woop!!

Exhaustion setting in!

Lots of pool time has been happening!

Lazy Lego weekends, too!

When your ceilings are 22ft tall, it's an event to change a lightbulb:)

We have doves nesting in the columns on our front porch!

Homemade ice cream!

With LOTS of toppings...LOL!!  He had just poured the chocolate
syrup straight into his mouth!  NEVER a dull moment!

Such an amazing show!

Sunrises in our little corner of the world are beautiful!

Lots of play in the summer, but we still do work too!

Just a trip to the grocery store!
We went and saw Cars 3 - so good!
Cousins at Meme's funeral
We went and heard "Abe Lincoln" speak one afternoon.

Pulling weeds... and pulled some not-quite-done carrots;)
I have a love/hate relationship with the iPods!

Visiting with Tally and Abby!

C was showing Gigi the garden but didn't have shoes on, so she let him borrow
hers!  LOL!!

Gigi got a new camper, so we went and checked it out:)

Huntin' Man C was headed out to shoot his new cap gun
at 7am!!
Culver's is becoming a habit with us:)
Our dishwasher leaked and buckled our hardwoods.. ugh!  We have
absolutely the worst luck with water damage!  This "alien" sucker
has been here for a week and I was just told last night that it would
be here for another 3-4 days at least!  It is so loud! We've been
eating/playing/doing as much as possible outside lately!!

Robots and rockets drawing class at the library

Early morning Candy Land game... on the porch because of
the loud alien sucker inside!

We ate dinner on the front porch and while M and I finished, the kids thoroughly
enjoyed the stomp rocket C got for his birthday!  Check out the top left picture - it
hit S directly in the forehead!  LOL!

Water guns in the rain!

They haven't pulled Play-doh out in forever!

Movie afternoon in the playroom - we can't hear the TV
downstairs because of that alien sucker!  Can you tell I hate
that alien!?!!?
We went and saw a planetarium show at the Roper Mountain Science Center:)

More Swim Meets

6/8/17:

I was terrible about getting pictures at this meet!  I've got to do better!!

Oh the junk!!  He gave his Sprite can ears with the Ring Pops!

6/15/17:

In this meet, S earned her iron man  for the year, meaning she has swam all events successfully!  Her IM was beautiful and she did long free for the first time in a while as well.  C rocked out his freestyle, learning not to look around as he swam(yay!!) and nailed his breaststroke without getting DQ'd for the first time!  So proud of them!  And glad I got my good camera out for at least one of the meets!

6/22/17:

Both kids did really well on their backstroke at this meet, shaving off a several seconds each!  Funny story, C's backstroke timecard was mixed up with the boy that was also swimming in his lane in a different heat.  Well, yes, C did improve by a lot, but when I got his ribbon the next day I knew something wasn't right when it said he had improved by 20 seconds!!  Buhahaha!  I told the coach's and the other little boy's mom about the issue, but there really wasn't much they could do about it as far as official SAIL results were concerned!  We all got a good laugh out of it, though!

Because of the mix-up, he is ranked #5 in the county!!
6/29/17:

This was our last meet!  S improved her IM time by about 5 seconds, but other than that, it wasn't a stellar meet for the kids - they can't all be great, right?  It rained off and on throughout the meet as well and then just before they had their final free relays, the bottom dropped out and we got drenched!!  I mean buckets came down!!!  None of us were sad to see the last few events cancelled as we got in the car wet and shivering for a 45 minute drive home!!

It's funny, they were not together when I took these pictures, but
from their posture and facial expressions, you can tell that it was
just one of those meets!

Now, on to Divisionals in a couple of weeks!
