Caesars Head and Dupont

When you have weather in the 70s and a free afternoon, you take advantage of it!

We went to Caesars Head State Park and the kids had a ball jumping around on the rocks again, and again and again!  We've been here a few times and the kids remembered it once we arrived!  They were excited about it to say the least!

After a lot of rock hopping, I tore them away and we went slightly north to Dupont State Park to Hooker Falls.  It had been quite a few years since we were here and it was fall when we came.  So, as we were picnicking in the back of the car before the short little hike to the falls, we watched as several families came and went in bathing suits.  Hmmm... I wasn't aware that people swam here, but since it was fall last time, it made sense that they wouldn't have been at that time of year!  I had not intended for the kids to do any water activities during our outing, but because we had started our adventure after swim practice this morning, the kids had towels and bathing suits in the car.  They changed(and I even had sunscreen in my purse!?!?) and we hiked down to the falls!

There were people everywhere!  Sun bathing on the rocks, wading in the river, floating in tubes and even some crazies sliding down the falls!  What a find!!  We stayed for a long time and the kids played until I felt like we needed to call it a day and make the hour drive home!

It was a fun little adventure!
