100th Day of School

It's hard to believe the kids have already been in school 100 days... although they missed 2 days for snow, so maybe they really have only been in 98 days... oh well, it doesn't really matter!

The first grade classes, and teachers, dress up as if they are 100 years old every year!  C was excited to have his hair sprayed white and wear "old man" clothes:)  He also had a mustache that he wore, but he ate breakfast at school this morning so we opted for him to put it on after he ate... nobody likes crumbs in a mustache!:)

We had some very warm days and walks were a must!

It was a life saver that week!

They were playing "baby mice" from the Nutcracker - it took
a couple days to fully get that make up off of C!!

S had an orthodontist appointment before school and ended
up getting a tooth pulled!  She was really brave about it!  We
stopped at Bojangles and cashed in on free BoBerry biscuit
coupons that we got from the Furman basketball game:)

Oh glory days... recorders have started!!

Furman Basketball

We've been trying to get to either a high school or college basketball game this season!  After looking at schedules(and prices...CLEMSON holy cow!), we settled on a Furman game.  It was a fun time, and C even caught a shirt from the cheerleaders!  Furman won!:)

MLK Weekend

Although the kids had only been back in school 1.5 days after having a 4.5 day weekend last weekend due to the snow, this weekend was ANOTHER 4 day weekend!

I tried to keep us busy, but not too busy so that we didn't kill each other, yet were not overly exhausted either!

I made them go for a bike ride with me around the neighborhood!

S got some much needed new ballet shoes!

We visited with friends we haven't seen in probably 3 years and we ALL had
a great time!

C's friend had an amazing birthday party at the Kung Fu place!

We've been playing lots of board games!  Monopoly is a
favorite, but we also got a couple for Christmas that we've found
we all like!

M and I are doing a cleanse and this is a typical dinner right now!

The kids went to a local cooking class and made pancakes,
pasta and apple crisp:)  They had a ball!!

When I was signing them up, I made sure another boy
would be in there as well!:)

Basketball Game

We had an away basketball game this morning so I took the opportunity to bring my nice camera to try and get a few good shots(our gym has the track above the bleachers and I just can't figure out how to get good pictures with it being so dark!).

C did not have his best game and afterwards I asked M what was going on.  He said that C couldn't seem to get any of the shots in before the game during warm ups and lost his confidence so he didn't want to shoot during the game.  Poor kiddo!  He did have some great defensive plays and passes to his teammates who scored, though!

C's team won!  Yay!!  I think they are 3 - 1... maybe??  They played a good game and it was a lot of fun to watch as some of the boys on his team are really quite amazing players!!!

In the wee hours of the morning, Clemson clinched the National Championship title!!!  And, what an awesome game!  It was in the VERY LAST SECOND of the game that Clemson won it!  An amazing day to be a Clemson Tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow Storm 2017

We got snow!!!!!

Friday night it started snowing and Saturday morning when we woke up it was a winter wonderland!  We ended up getting about 4.5" and the kids couldn't wait to get to the hill to go sledding!  We were the first ones out there and got some good tracks going down the hill and then after a while all the neighborhood kids came out and we all had a great time!

Over the past few days there has been lots of sledding, snowball fights, hot chocolate, cookies, big breakfasts and laundry!

Sunday

S had her first sleepover at a friend's house, Shelby Kate, last night so she was not around for the sledding fun on Sunday morning!  And, really, she slept NONE so she wasn't much fun to be around the rest of the day!

This was a video that S used Shelby's iPod to send to Shelby's dad at about 1am!!  Thankfully his phone was off and he didn't get it until the morning.  But, hilarious!!

But, C... that kid was up and ready to go!  He stayed out and played ALL.DAY.LONG!!!

Today (Monday)

School was of course cancelled today!  The kids were excited to get out early and enjoy some more sledding in the yard!

We finished off the box of hot chocolate today!:)

Although school is also cancelled tomorrow, I think the excitement is wearing off now... I'm definitely over it now!
