It's Becoming More and More Real...

I had my first baby shower this past weekend! It was so much fun to get all the cute, girly stuff! My neighbor growing up and my aunt were so nice to give me the shower and everyone who came was absolutely wonderful! I am very blessed to have neighbors and friends like these ladies! I can't wait for Little Girl Bishop (still no name!) to meet them and enjoy the beautiful gifts she was given:)

P.S. - I know I am wearing the same thing as I was in a previous post, but I only have so many "cute summery" outfits!!!

Married!!!

M's best friend and business partner got married this past weekend! It was a beautiful ceremony and only rained for a short bit! Their vows were some of the sweetest I've ever heard. M and I had a great time both at the rehearsal dinner and at the wedding! Everything was so well done. And, to top off a wonderful day, the happy couple left in a dump truck (PRICELESS!!!).

Note: I dropped my camera and broke it just as the bride was walking down the isle, so I don't have any pictures of the actual wedding or the reception. UGG!! I'll have to wait and see if my MIL's pictures turned out! These pictures are from the rehearsal dinner and M being GQ before he went to the wedding.

From Drought to Flood!

Last week we had a drought, and this week we had a flood. There is a lot of construction going on up the hill from our house (as you can see from the red water in our yard). We apparently have a bit of a drainage issue!!! Hopefully we'll be able to do something about it before the next monsoon hits! It was awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Georgia Louise Fisher Arrives!!!

I don't have all the details yet, but our friends Reid and Nancy had their sweet little girl last night (actually, early this morning so her b-day is 6/13)!!!! I still haven't had a chance to speak with them yet (I stole the pictures off her mom's and sisters' blog). I will post more information as soon as I have it! I can't wait to meet their new little princess:)

Drought

I'm sure it is a problem for everyone, but our grass is in terrible need of water! It has the crunchy brown look. SO, we decided to try and do something about it this weekend. M had rented a 3" water hose for work and didn't have to return it until today. We (I say we, but I really mean M) backed his truck up to the creek in our back yard, threw the pump into the deepest part and pumped away! It was hysterical watching him as he tried to control the hose. All I could do was laugh - I wasn't much help:) When we were finished, the creek was dry as a bone behind our house but our grass was very thankful!

Shave and a Haircut!

This past Friday I had my golden retriever shaved - WOW!!!! She now looks about half the size (and she wasn't that big to begin with) and resembles a lab more than a golden retriever! It is going to take some getting use to, but I have to admit I still think she's pretty cute:)

Hilton Head

I grew up going to Hilton Head! We stayed in the same condo complex, Island Club on Folly Field Road, went the same week, ate at the same restaurants and met the same people every year!! It was wonderful:) Well, since I graduated high school, I've been down 2 times, but not to the same place. This past weekend my mom and I went for a few days to enjoy the beach and food! It was a great time!! Friday we went out to the beach for hours (my mom got FRIED!!!). We ate like queens the whole weekend:) And, despite Tropical Storm Barry making his gracing us with his presence on Saturday and drenching the island, we still had a good time. We went to the outlets and watched chick flicks - HA, and of course, ate like queens!!! On Sunday we woke up and it was STILL raining. I didn't let it get me down, though. I went for a wonderful walk on the beach with the rain coming down on me! Surprisingly, I was definitely not alone out there. I was surprised! I walked out and looked out to the stormy waters of the Atlantic and there were dolphins swimming right along the shore. It was a beautiful walk and a fabulous weekend for us girls!!!!
