June Happenings

We went to Academy to check out the baseball stuff!  It was SO
expensive and a friend offered to let us use their stuff for
the summer, so we walked out with only a $4.99 water bottle!
LOL!!

Busy days = tired boys!

C went to work with M and earned a little $$!

M never put the cover on the boat last year when he put it away
and it required a TON of work to get it ready for the lake!  The
kids were all about helping wash!

This one with the hose is always scary!

Saw this awesome Luna Moth at Ingles!

I think they would spend hours at PetSmart if I let them!

Abby got her yearly bath and shave - cutie pup!

8am craft time!

There are several Sundays this summer that the kids do not
have programming and are thus required to sit in service
with us!  This was the 2nd time and they are doing quite well!!

We got an elliptical and the little guy has been loving it;)

S and I went to Greenville Little Theatre and saw Beauty
and the Beast - amazing!!

They spent forever pumping this thing up and then I don't think they liked
it too much because they haven't played with it but maybe 20 minutes!

A little steam action to get S to feeling better - she had a sinus
infection:(

Swim Meets #4 and #5

This week we had TWO swim meets!!  One on Tuesday and then another tonight!  I was able to get a few videos after I finished timing the first half at both meets.  Luckily, I got two videos of S on Tuesday, because she wasn't feeling well and didn't make it to the one tonight!  Both kids did great and improved on times this week!  It's so fun to watch them get better and make friends in the process!

Poinsett Bridge and Painting in TR

The kids and I took a much needed "adventure" this afternoon!  We first went to Poinsett Bridge where the kids waded around in the water and threw rocks down the stream!  C started getting a bit too adventurous and ended up falling twice, so we took that as our chance to head to our next stop!  Next up was a coffee shop in Travelers Rest where we got smoothies and the kids painted some canvases.  We ended at the library to replenish our supply and sleepily, yet happily, made our way home:)

Summer Spectacular

The kids enjoyed Summer Spectacular as always this week!  The theme was Shipwrecked!  Both kids had their friends in the same groups which made for a great time:)  I had to work and had a hair appt one day, then we had the latest swim meet ever on Thursday night so we missed the last day, but I was able to help out one day and had fun seeing all the craziness!  Our church does a great job and has this thing down to a science!

Bday Parties All Day

This afternoon was all about kids' birthday parties!

I took C to his party at the roller rink(his first time ever!) and boy did he have an absolute ball!!  No matter how many times he fell, he'd get up smiling and keep going!  Eventually, he was stable enough to do a little dancing as he'd skate by me!  He was hysterical!!

While C was at his party, M took S to a horse/pool party.  He said that she had a great time!  From the pictures the party mom posted, I'd say that she definitely did!

Pool with Friends

This evening I took the kids and their best friends from their class this year(who both happen to be in the same class again next year!!) to the pool for swimming and dinner!  They all had a blast and even after being up there for several hours, they wanted to stay longer!  I love that they are old enough for me to feel comfortable to be able to do this with them!

Swim Meet #2

The kids had a great second meet tonight!  S had some improvements in her freestyle events and C would have had a great improvement in his breaststroke if he hadn't messed up his start and gotten DQ'd!  They had a fun time with their friends and ate lots of junk - win!

S ready for the medley relay!

C ready for the medley relay!

Competitors for the race, but teammates for always!

And this is competitive me pretending like I'm all cool, calm and
collected.  When, in reality, I'm about to come out of my skin on
the inside! Buhahaha!!
