Halloween 2022

Halloween 2022 was a sweet success!

S went with friends for Halloween and they said that they were not going to Trick or Treat, but then I think they kinda missed it, so they walked around the neighborhood dressed up(S was dressed from Mean Girls) but didn't ask for candy;) No pictures from her outing...sad!

C and I went over to one of his friends' house where we met up with several other boys and moms for dinner and then Trick or Treating! He was an inflatable "funny guy" as we call them!

Now, to purge some of that candy!

Swamp Rabbits Hockey Game

A boy from school's dad is the CEO of Bon Secours, the company that owns the large arena in Greenville.  So, naturally, the kid had his birthday party at a Swamp Rabbits hockey game!  They got to high-five the players as they came onto the ice, sit in the penalty box during warm-ups and then the boys had two boxes to go between during the game with all the soda and food a 6th grader could want!

Pumpkin Patch

C was sick the past few days, so we are later than I'd like to be getting around to going to the pumpkin patch!  But!  We made it happen!! 

Soccer Games

We had a busy weekend of soccer games!  Yesterday we were in Rock Hill and today we were in Spartanburg!  Whew!!  It's days like this that I am glad our team doesn't travel to the extent that other teams in our area do!  

Escape to the Mountains

I was feeling the need to get away and get outside today!  After dropping C off at school, I ventured to Caesar's Head, strolled Brevard where I found some coffee and sustenance, took a quick jaunt to Looking Glass Falls, hiked Devil's Courthouse, sat by the relaxing river and thoroughly enjoyed the day to myself!  There is something about being in the mountains that is so soothing and regenerative!

M and C did a little hunting this evening and C got a deer!! First buck for him!

Ziplining

C and I went ziplining at The Gorge this afternoon!  M was supposed to go as well, but he ended up having to go pick S up from the retreat so he wasn't able to make it!  Such a bummer!  C and I had a great time, though, and I will definitely do it again!
