Aladdin at the Peace Center

This afternoon after church, S and I went to see Aladdin at the Peace Center!  It was so so so good!!!  We both LOVED it!!  I'm glad we are able to both enjoy these types of things!  Afterwards, she insisted that she needed a milkshake so we got her one;)  Great afternoon!

Wrestling Tournament #5 - Bangarang in Anderson

This morning was another tournament, but it was C's first time wrestling in the "open" division instead of the "rookie" division!  He did great, but didn't come away with as many wins as he'd have liked!  But, he learned a lot and the icing on the cake was that Gigi and Grandpa were able to come watch him!  He pinned his first opponent, lost his second and was SO close in overtime with the third opponent but ended up losing!

Skiing at Winterplace, WV

We finally got a chance to take the kids skiing!!  M and I had not been in 14 years so it was past due that we made a trip to the mountains! 

We drove up last night and stayed in a hotel about 20 minutes from the mountain.  We checked in and ate dinner at Outback(possibly another first for the kids!) and then got settled in to rest up for a big day!

Today we got up and ate breakfast next door at Bob Evans and were at the slopes at 8:30am to drop the kids off for their all day ski school!  Then it was our turn to get suited up with boots and skis and hit the slopes!  M kept telling me it was like riding a bike, but I started going down the little hill to get to the lift and about busted it! 

But, as the day went on, we did get a lot more comfortable and M ended up doing the black diamonds but I just stuck to the blues:)  Such a fun "date day" on the slopes! 

About 3pm, I had pretty much had my fill of skiing so we rested for a bit before picking the kids up from ski school at 3:45pm!  They were so excited and so proud of all they'd learned - and so were we!  They weren't ready to be done yet!  So, M took them up to the top of the mountain and they skied blues all the way down and did amazing!  Such accomplishment and growth in just one day!

We drove home tonight and got home about 10:30pm tired, happy and already planning our next trip - hopefully out west next year!

There's just something about a hotel room;)

Clemson Basketball Game

We attended the Clemson basketball game this afternoon and they WON!  They played Louisville who was ranked #5 and won 77-62!  Such a fun game to watch and the kids were enthralled by the entire thing!  We also ended up seeing several people that we knew so that was kinda fun too!  Go Tigers!!

Valentine's Day Party - 4th Grade

C's class had their Valentine's party this afternoon!  They enjoyed ice cream sundaes, games and exchanging Valentine cards!  I was so glad to be able to go and enjoy the time with him and his class(but not be the one in charge...LOL!)!  

Wrestling Tournament #4 - Rookie State Championship

Today we traveled to the middle of nowhere for a wrestling tournament!  It was the rookie state championship tournament, but we didn't tell C that!  He wrestled amazing!!!!  He was strong, fast and smart with his moves!  He pinned every opponent he faced!  To everyone's surprise and delight, he ended up placing first and claiming the title of Rookie State Champ for 10U 80lb division!!  A great day on the mat!

The room was PACKED!!  SO many people and so very hot!

This was the win that gave him first place!
