New Years Eve and Day and a 6.5 Year Old

We spent a lot of time together this weekend.. and a lot of time cleaning out closets, drawers, the mudroom and the pantry.  Whew!!!  I lost count of how many bags of trash and donations went out the door:)

On New Years Eve, we also picked up my new table that M got me for Christmas!  So pretty!!!  We also watched our Tigers win the Fiesta Bowl and secure themselves a spot at the National Championship Game... again!!  We didn't make it to midnight, per the usual, but we were woken up about that time because of the fireworks!

Organized Pantry... even if you can't really tell from this picture!
Trust me, it's much much better!
New table:)

Toasting in the New Year(at about 7pm! LOL!!) with
sparkling cider!

This is possibly the first time we've used our champagne glasses
since our wedding day!

They were getting tired by this point - but go Tigers!

On New Years Day, we started off slow, attended church as a family and cleaned some more - and started planning our 2017 vacations:)

Two cuties ready for church!

January 1 also happens to be C's half birthday!  I think this is the first time in 9 years that I have not made some sort of goody for a child on their half birthday!  Slacking in my old age!!!  We did manage to measure the kids, though!  C has grown 1.5inches in the past 6 months and is now 48.5in tall and S has grown slightly since her well child visit in October and is 52.25in.  Little weeds!!

Let's go, 2017!!
