American Girl Tea Party

We had S's birthday party at our church just like we did C's John Deere party and it worked out great!!

S and her friends made crafts, played games and had a tea party while the siblings of the party goers had the chance to play in the gym area and then join us for cupcakes:)

As the girls and their dolls arrived, they were able to start their first craft, making a puffy paint bag for themselves or their dolls.  After everyone was there and they had finished their bags, we moved on to pin the tea cup under the teapot(a tea party version of pin the tail on the donkey).  It was so fun to watch the girls and I think they got a kick out of it too!!  After that, we made another craft, pop top necklaces for the dolls(or girls) to wear!  I think this was the favorite craft.  The girls kept wanting to make more and more of them:)  Then, it was on to the last game, musical chairs complete with "Let It Go" on the Kindle!  You were really able to see them personality and competitiveness of the girls come out in this game!

After the crafts and games were done, the girls sat down and enjoyed Nutella sandwiches, watermelon, candy and cake!  HAHA!!!  I'm sure the other moms were appalled at the food that was served, but the girls sure did love it!!!!

S was surrounded by her best friends, family(both sets of grandparents were able to be there even though it was a Friday afternoon!) and lots of LOVE!

Happy, happy birthday!!!!

I was so excited to get this cake for her!  I know it was
an American Girl party, but this Elsa cake was too much to
resist!  The Elsa doll was a gift/surprise for her as well!

I had decorated the party room while the kids were at school
and when I picked S up and brought her back she was
beside herself and was all smiles as she roamed around the
room taking it all in!

A little playtime before the party guests arrived... and after they left as well!!

This kid spent a lot of time playing on these things... until it was cupcake time
and he was more than happy to come lick some icing off a red cupcake:)

It was fun to look at all the dolls in their outfits!
