Amanda and I took the kids ice skating on The Big Ice (which is the rink where the Swamp Rabbits hockey team plays) this afternoon. I love school holidays when we get a chance to do stuff with them!
S had been a few times before, but this was C's first time. S took off with her walker and Darcy and was going quite fast!
C on the other hand was determined not to use the walker more than he had to, but he wanted to skate without one like all the older kids that were zooming by him! It was going great, until he busted it and gave himself a nice goose egg on his head! Life with boys!!
Even after the busted head event, we skated some more until all of the kids were getting tired and we decided that the moms had not had enough catching up time and we went back to Amanda's for hot chocolate and a little more play time!
We will try skating again... it just may be awhile before I fully recover!!
