Fireman and Firetrucks

This morning we met up with some friends at the library.  October is fire safety month and all the local libraries are having firemen come at some point throughout the month to talk to kids about fire safety.

The fireman who came today had some really great props - a cute little smoke detector with a face, a teddy bear and a kid-sized fire hydrant.  After talking about safety, the kids were able to go out and climb around like ants on a firetruck(really the whole reason we came, right??:)!)

C wasn't very interested in the talking part and was excited to get out to the main attraction!  As soon as we got out, he found a fireman and went up to him and asked(very politely with a "please" included) for a fireman hat - it was so funny!  He has really come out of his shell and will go without a second thought and ask for whatever it is he is wanting!  He got his hat, and wanted to make sure that he had one for his sissy as well!

He had fun and it was quite difficult to pry him off the firetruck!  He wore his hat and played fireman the rest of the afternoon!!
