Birthday Weekend in Atlanta

After I picked up both kids from school, we drove to spend the weekend in Atlanta with Gigi and Grandpa in celebration of S's birthday!

We fought some traffic to get there, but eventually made it to the house and the kids were out the door and running toward the house pretty much before I could even get the car stopped:)  They were so excited!

Saturday was a big day for S!!!  We started out with a girls' lunch at American Girl store!  S's doll, Charis, got her ears pierced, her hair done, a new dress and two pairs of shoes.  She also joined us for lunch and a birthday celebration at the bistro.  S enjoyed picking out all of the goodies for Charis to enjoy and scored a matching dress as well!  When we were checking out, the lady asked S if she'd had a good time, to which S replies "I have been soooo spoiled!!" with a huge smile on her face!  Priceless:)

Saturday evening, we enjoyed a picnic dinner and a big band concert at a nearby park that Grandpa had gotten together!  Uncle Bobby and Jennifer joined up with even more gifts and balloons!  After dinner, MORE cake and MORE presents, we called it a night and went back to my parents' house with one very happy birthday girl!

On Sunday we went to church and had dinner before getting back on the road to come home!!

It was a great weekend celebration for our sweet girl who loved every minute of being spoiled rotten:)
