Camping with Sunday School

Yesterday four families from our Sunday School class met up at Chau Ram Park for a one-night camping trip!  We had so much fun!!!

Last night, we all arrived about 5:30/6pm and started getting our campsites set up!  The kids were wild with excitement and couldn't wait to play and run crazy!  So, while we set up, there was thankfully a swingset right next to the site where all the kids played!  After we finished, we headed down to the big playground before dinner.  Dinner was Subway and of course hot dogs followed by s'mores!  We stayed up way past our bedtime and then once we got in the tent the craziness started all over again!!

The kids were up several times throughout the night so we didn't get much sleep - as we expected!  Bright and early the campground started coming to life!  First on the list was to get some coffee going in our roughing-it coffee makers:)  Then we started cooking bacon, eggs and chocolate chip pancakes! Deliciousness!!!  We all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast!

All too soon it was time to pack up the sites!  The kids ran crazy again while the adults got everything put away!  When we had finished, we went on a beautiful, fairly long hike through the woods!  There was poison ivy EVERYWHERE!  We made it out, hopefully unscathed by the poison ivy, and all worn out!

What a fun night with friends!!!  We are already talking about doing it again in the fall:)

We rough it with air mattresses:)
