Fall Book Week 2013

We had another book week this week(I think this is our 3rd one??) and when S found out she was absolutely ecstatic!  C got a bit more into this year than in the past as well!  We stuck to a fall theme, you know, since it is fall and all:)  Usually we complete the 5 books in 5 days, however with all the glue and paint involved with these, it took us 7 days to finish!  It was a fun, MESSY week of books and crafts!

Owl Babies by Martin Waddell

• We colored owls and S made a little foam/tulle owl craft.

Apple Cider Making Days by Ann Purmell

• We made crock pot apple cider and it was delicious!

Dot & Jabber and the Great Acorn Mystery by Ellen Stoll Walsh

• We used birdseed and coffee grounds to make an acorn - M.E.S.S.Y!!!

Awesome Autumn by Bruce Goldstone

• We painted puzzle pieces and then glued them to "hand trees".  Another very messy project!

Hello, Harvest Moon by Ralph Fletcher

• Me made a paint and flour mixture moon(our 3rd messy craft of the week!) in the night sky.
