This morning, M took S to the Home Depot Kids Workshop:) She loved it and he enjoyed working with her to complete their project - seed planters. Very appropriate for the girl who wants to be a farmer when she grows up! C got quality time with me as we ran a few necessary errands to Walmart and Earth Fare. Oh the joys... or not!
Afterwards, we met up and made our way downtown Greer to Greer Family Fest. We do this every year and I am pretty confident that this is the first time we've been that we have had to wear coats and then were still cold! It was windy, cold and threatening rain. Yuck!! But, we were able to do some woodworking, played in the sand, got faces painted and did a few other crafts before it was time to break away for lunch! This is an event that I love to go to and the kids do as well!!
We came home for some much needed R&R and then were back at it with our annual trip to Strawberry Hill USA to get some strawberries and then to Lake Bowen Fish Camp for dinner!! C was tuckered out after our busy day and missed the part where we got our strawberries:) The next thing he knew we were getting ready to eat dinner! That's the life!! Usually we are able to feed the ducks and check out the lake while we are there, but it had started raining by this point, so we had to fore go that part of our trip. We did discover a new mural at the restaurant with all of the Disney characters painted on it that the kids were loving!! They had a ball naming all the different ones they knew and talking about which ones they had seen at Disney World. I think this was actually my favorite part of our excursion - seeing how much they had loved our trip to Disney World!
We ate a ton of strawberries when we got home and called it a night!!!
