Clemson

No Foolin'!!

We went to Clemson this morning for a little day trip!  We started off with a kids' program, Garden Sprouts, at the South Carolina Botanical Gardens.  So fun!  It reminded me a lot of the Roper Mountain Science Center programs and the kids loved it!  The lady leading the program was wonderful, patient and really was a very good teacher:)  I loved her!  Today the program was all about sunflowers and we came home with a cute craft as well as a bag of little seeds to plant so that we will hopefully have our own sunflowers in a few months!

Afterwards, we went to the Hendrix Student Center for lunch and ice cream.  Talk about feeling seriously OLD!  HA!  There is a Subway there and when I asked for a kids' turkey and cheese I was politely told that they don't have kids' meals.  Of course, why didn't I think of that.  Now I was feeling OLD OLD!  The kids did really well and were very behaved so not too much attention was drawn to the fact that we were the only ones there that weren't in college:)

Ice cream at Clemson is amazing!  They make it themselves and they do it just right!  It was a huge hit with the kids, who actually got to get a cone for the first time ever(peer pressure from their friends was to blame!)  and did pretty well with it, and then we let them run off some of their sugar buzz before loading them into the car!

I had to get a coffee on the way home:)

Happy happy day for everyone!  The kids want to go back already!
