Disney Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

This morning we went to the much anticipated Magic Kingdom!  The kids were enthralled with all of it from the time we arrived until the time we left!

We got there early, 8:15am, so that we could watch the train come with the characters to open up the park!  It was very cool!  They put on a cute show and then the flood gates opened and we all filed, or I should say piled, into the park.  All of the workers line the streets and waved and said "hello" as we came in and there was music playing throughout the park at that early hour!  I loved it!!!!

I also had the kids' shirts made with their names on them!  Not only did they look super-cute in their quasi-matching outfits, all the employees at the park used their names all day!  They thought it was so cool to be called "Princess Stella" and "Prince Colton" all day!

Fantasyland was our morning destination.  We first went to get a fast pass for the Under the Sea - Ariel ride.  We then made our rounds and were able to get lots of rides in during the first 2 hours the park was open with little to no lines.  We went on Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world", Dumbo, The Barnstormer(we went twice in a row - S didn't like it the first time but by the end of the 2nd time it was her new "favorite" ride for the day!).  After all those rides we went back to use our fast pass for Under the Sea and on our way there were surprised to see Gaston so we stopped and chatted with him and got his autograph - he was hysterical and was probably my favorite character we saw!  We then rode Under the Sea - Ariel as our last ride in Fantasyland for the day.

Now for Tomorrowland.  We first got fast passes for Buzz Lightyear and then went and rode the cars at the Tomorrowland Speedway.  I rode with S and let me tell you she is not a good driver - at all!!  We then went and rode Buzz Lightyear.  After that we took a much needed lunch and coffee break:)  Luckily we did this kinda early so that we got a nice, shady table to sit at and enjoy getting off of our feet for a while.

After our bellies were full, we got fast passes for M and I for Space Mountain.  We killed time by doing the Carousel of Progress, the PeopleMover, pictures around Cinderella's Castle, saw some of the show they do at the castle and got S a sprinkling of fairy dust!  We made our way back over to Tomorrowland and were surprised to come across Stitch.  We got his autograph and then it was time for Space Mountain.  I went first while M waited with the kids and then he went while I waited with them.  We rode the train over to Frontierland where we explored Tom Sawyer's Island and then called it a day and headed back to the condo!
