Sky Top Orchard - Take 2

With a forecast for a beautiful, rain-free afternoon, we went to Sky Top Orchard for the second time this year. It was M's first time, though. Our plan was to play on the playground, have a picnic lunch, take the usual apple orchard pictures but not really pick too many and then buy a bag of pre-picked apples to take home with us. Unfortunately, the weather did not quite cooperate:(

First of all, it was a lot colder than I had inticipated on the mountain!! I had not brought coats for any of us and we were all a bit on the chilly side! Thankfully, the kids were too busy running around on the playground to notice:) After they had played, we went and had a picnic lunch under the shelter and it helped to keep the wind off of us so we weren't quite as cold while we ate. Then, to our complete surprise, it started to rain:( We tried to wait it out, but it just kept on coming! We then decided to go ahead and grab a bag of apples and take a few more pictures with the pumpkins before heading home.

  So, no apple orchard pictures, but we did still have a good(although, cold!) afternoon at Sky Top!
