Family Birthday Dinner

This year we did things a bit differently and invited the grandparents, Brooke, Meme and Uncle Bobby over for dinner instead of having them come to the kids' party! I really liked the way it worked out - even if it did mean I had to clean the house:)

We had lasagna and cupcakes (yes, the kids had two parties in one day which meant two cupcakes and ice cream - sugar highs all around!!) and enjoyed visiting with our families.  The kids were able to spend more quality time with them than they would have if we'd invited them to the kids' party.  S was in her element and thoroughly enjoyed the attention she received, although C is starting to come around too and demand a little attention of his own!  Both kids did fabulously to have gone all day with no naps!  And, S surprised us all with her abilities with the hula-hoop!  She is really good at it!

After a great evening with our wonderful families, we have finally finished S's birthday week celebrations!  Happy Happy 5th Birthday Sweet Girl!!
