Family Day

This morning we went to Falls Park and played in the fountains and checked out the bridge as we waited for the indoor putt-putt place to open! C-man was soaked within 3.4 seconds!! HA!

Putt-putt was a riot!  I played only the first hole(which I should say was a hole in ONE!!) and then just put mine and C's clubs away!  It was just a bit much to try and play and chase C at the same time!  Thank goodness we were the only ones in there for the majority of our time there!  S wanted to play and M attempted to show her how to hold the club the right way and also introduce her to the rules of the game.  She preferred to play her own way - whatever!  She had fun and played "S's rules" the entire 18 holes and loved every minute of it so who are we to demand that she play by the real rules?!?!

C on the other hand had us in hysterics!  He loved loved loved putting the balls in the holes that acted as tunnels and shot the ball out in another location!  He would do it over and over again and squeal with pure joy every time:)  He did get a couple of balls in the eye when we would look into the hole for the ball when either M or S were hitting it.  Oh I laughed so hard today!!  It was worth it just to watch them goof around!

While M and I got dinner ready tonight, the kids put their imaginations to work!!  S would lay in the box, have C close all the flaps on the box and then she would kick them open.  They both had a ball!  I love watching them when the play so nicely together!!!!!

After dinner I thought it would be fun to try some fondue!  Neither of the kids have ever had it before and were instant fans:)   We did a chocolate fondue with strawberries, apples and angel food cake for dipping!  YUMMY!!  There was chocolate everywhere!  You can imagine with a two-year-old that the idea of double-dipping is completely foreign so I am sure there were some germs being spread around - bleh!  Next time, we are going to dish the kids their own bowls of chocolate to dip into.  We will definitely be doing this again!!!
