1st Dance Recital

I have been waiting for today ever since S first said that she wanted to take dance!!!!! It was her first recital and she did great! She was so excited to get up on stage and boy oh boy did she get a big stage to perform on at the Peace Center:) She looked so tiny up there, but was smiling the entire time - pure joy for my tiny dancer! S's class was small this year and a few of the girls decided not to do the recital, so there were only 5 of them on stage. She is the 2nd from the right in the pictures.  They did a dance to Animals and Clowns(a song I've never heard of before) as the entire recital was based around a circus theme.  All four of S's grandparents and her great-grandmother were able to come watch as were of course Mommy and Daddy and C-man. She was the 2nd group to perform and was done within 5 minutes of the recital starting! This is good so that we were able to take C home after a bit when he got restless and the grandparents could leave whenever they were ready. We were not, however, allowed to get S until the very end after they got their awards for being awesome little dancers! So, THREE hours later, Gigi and I were there to meet S after her performance and present her with flowers and a ballerina Barbie for a job, and year, well done! The smile on her face and excitement in her eyes made my heart melt! She loved performing on that stage and I am so so so proud of her for doing an awesome job!!
