Family Fest

Every spring our little downtown does an awesome job of putting together Family Fest!  There is a huge area of kids' crafts set up and it is completely FREE!  We enjoyed hammering nails into wood(C-man's favorite part - he like it so much in fact that it was hard to get him away from it and he kept heading back in that direction!), played in sand, made noodle necklaces, tea cups, tissue paper butterflies, sand art(S's favorite part) and dropped paint balls(Mommy's favorite part!).  We ran into some friends while down there and hung out with them and then went to lunch afterwards with them!

Let me make a couple of notes here in order to make sure I do things a bit differently next year to allow us a more enjoyable experience:
1.  Don't forget the stroller for the boy!
2.  Bring a bag to put all of the crafts in, especially if don't have a stroller either!
3.  Either have plenty of snacks or go to lunch at the "normal" time - not TWO hours late with no snacks!
4.  Make sure to be home in time for naps!

We had some trying moments while at the festival for sure! I should really take my own advice for next year:)
