Gigi's Here - Boating and Camping

Gigi had a camping reservation at Paris Mountain State Park that she had made randomly last summer.  Well, the parks just happened to open back up to the public on Friday and her reservations started Saturday.  Perfect timing!!  And out of 40 campsites, there were only three campers including her there!

Sunday, she joined us at the lake and got to watch C ski for the first time this year(S claimed it was too cold!) and she got lots of attention from the kids since we haven't seen her in a while!  The water was calmer for the first little bit than it was yesterday, but it very quickly got ocean-like again!

Monday, the kids and I arrived at the park, early(the park wasn't even open yet and we had to move cones and unlock the padlock on the gate to get in... I felt like I was breaking into the park!) and had breakfast with Gigi.  We rode bikes, S made a scavenger hunt and walked around Lake Placid Trail.  It was a beautiful afternoon!

Breakfast is served!

Either checking out the huge bass or some tadpoles!

We came across this little snake and I was not sticking around longer than
to take a quick picture!

Today, the kids and I arrived after lunch!  It rained last night so the wood was wet, but C was determined to get a fire going and have s'mores!  He succeeded:)  S was set on making an iMovie trailer for the day and she succeeded too!  We spent several hours there at the campground and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Gigi and change of scenery!  The storms were upon us by late afternoon and we helped get all of Gigi's stuff secured and then headed home!  It was great to have her here!
