Virginia Creeper Trail

Okay, so last night was our first night ever all crammed into 1 hotel room(no suite, just a room with 2 very small queen beds!) and it was pretty rough!  We were glad when it was finally time to get up and get moving - it was bad!!!

We ate a great breakfast at the hotel and then drove the 20 minute drive to Damascus, VA where we were getting our bikes from and taking the shuttle to the top of the mountain to start our Virginia Creeper Trail ride!

We rode 17 miles, either downhill or flat the entire time, saw beautiful scenery, threw rocks, looked over about 2 dozen bridges as we criss-crossed our way down the stream!  We will definitely go back and do it again sometime!

After riding and eating lunch, it was time for the homestretch of our trip, back to our own house and our own beds!  Virginia treated us right and we loved the memories we made the sights we saw!!!

We walked through the little town of Demascus, VA before
getting our bikes!

The Virginia Creeper Trail is an old railroad track, so
of course they had trains around town!:)

We followed this creek the entire way down the mountain!

Getting ready to start our descent:)
