S has been taking piano lessons for about 10 months. The first 5 months were at a studio, but after Christmas we switched to a lady who does them out of her house and have been so impressed with the progress S has made! She enjoys playing(although it is a bear to get her to practice sometimes!) and loved getting up and playing at the recital!
The recital was done in an assisted living facility so that the residents could also come and enjoy the music. Her teacher teamed up with a friend of hers who teaches horn classes, so we listened to piano, trumpet, french horn and a violin! It was an eclectic recital, but it made it kind of fun!
S is going to continue piano through the summer and I've also promised her that she can take voice lessons from her teacher as well while we aren't having to pay for dance!
