We left our house at 7:15am and arrived just as the park was opening around 10am! We rode all the "kiddie" rides first, then the steam engine train, The Dollywood Express, around the mountain, took a break for lunch, then started on the bigger water rides and roller coasters. It took some serious convincing and tears to get them on the bigger roller coasters but we made them do it, and then we made them do it a second time(no tears the second time but still a bit apprehensive!) and after that C declared the bigger roller coaster his favorite! I bet other parents thought we were so mean to make our kids ride it, but we knew what we had to do and they are so glad now that they rode it!
We rode all the rides with less than 5 minute waits at each ride, and some we just stayed on for a second time through because there was nobody waiting! It was so great! And so unlike the crazy lines of Disney!!
We spent pretty much the entire day there! We rode all the rides that the kids were tall enough for, got soaking wet on several rides and then rode our favorites a few more times(C's favorites were the bumper cars, Daredevil Falls(similar to Splash Mtn at Disney) and FireChaser Express(this is the one that the kids were crying about before we made them ride it!); S's favorite was the bumper cars) before we came home! We didn't get home until 11pm and were all exhausted but had a blast celebrating our soon-to-be-6-year-old!!

| Even though we were at Dollywood to celebrate C's birthday, it was technically Father's Day! So of course a picture of M with his kiddos was a must!! |

| C was hitting a wall because it was getting late for lunch and I could tell he was hungry! But when you are on a train, you don't have much of a choice as far as food goes. So, he had to tough it out - and did so by snuggling up with me!:) I'll take it!!! |
