Zoo Camp

This week both kids have been at zoo camp!!

S went 5 days and C went 3 days!  That means I got a break for 9 hours this week!  WOOHOO!!  And not to mention, the kids were ecstatic about a camp!  Especially C since this was the first drop off/pick up in car line ever for him - he hasn't even done that at school yet!

C's camp was Diggin' for Dinos where they got to see what was like to be a paleontologist and discover how and what scientists have learned about these prehistoric giants!

S's camp was Hide and Seek where they were able to discover how animals survive in the wild!

The first day I was able to walk them in so that they knew where their classes were and we could help them settle in for the first time!  Not to worry, both kids were practically shooing me out:)

When I picked them up the first day, they were nothing but smiles and that continued all week!  They loved every minute of their camps and were so excited to tell me all about the animals they had learned about each day:)

It seriously felt like fall starting Tuesday!  Chilly enough(at 64*)
for a light coat:)

Goofball!!!

One day I ran 3 miles and anther day I ran about 2.6, albeit very slowly!
But who can run fast past all the beauty of the trail!  

The first day, I ran through Cleveland Park and Falls Park(they connect)
and had to stop to take some pictures:)  It was such a nice day!!

Second run, through Legacy Park, I saw this!!

the camp with us one day after camp!

Thursday was RAINY!!!  The park and zoo parking lot flooded and the police
shut down the roads and evacuated the park!  Talk about excitement:/

The camp instructors took pictures of the kids while they were at camp and sent them to all the parents!  I love that they did that!  Such a cool surprise!!!
