Spring Break 2014

This week both kids have been out of school, all regular activities have been cancelled, and the kids and I have tried to take advantage of doing things we don't usually get a chance to do and seeing people we don't see as much as we'd like!

Monday
We went to lunch and played with Amanda and her kids at Runway Cafe!

Tuesday
Gigi came into town and we enjoyed a very long lunch(but dessert helped it not be too awful...ha!) and then let the kids play at Monkey Joe's until they were too tired to bounce anymore!!  They sure did sleep good:)

We did some early morning painting before Gigi came over!

Wednesday
S had a dentist appointment to get sealants on her 6-year-old molars.  I can definitely thing of better ways to spend Spring Break, but at least this is done now!  In the afternoon, we went to a very cool, lots to eat Easter Tea Party/Egg Hunt at the library!

More craftiness!:)

This little champ had to get her 6 year old sealants and
did amazing!!

We are starting to work on C's scissor skills - yikes!

A group shot atttemp - fail!  HAHA!

Thursday
Today we finally got a chance to dye eggs and visit with our good friends, the Sinclairs!  We always have so much fun with them and the kids are always telling me they want me to be more like Ms. Amy (which is funny because Amy and I are very similar in personality!  HA!)!  All of the kids loved the egg dying and 3 of the 4(which of course included both of mine!!) kids had green "Grinch fingers" when we finished!

Friday
Several weeks ago I had signed the kids up for a Spring Break Camp at the Little Gym because I knew by this point during the week I would need a couple of hours to get some things done and also to just have a bit of "me time"!  It was wonderful, I got a lot accomplished(6 stores for returns in 1.5 hours!  Impossible with two kids, but easily done alone!) and the kids had a ball playing at the Little Gym!!

After I picked them up, we headed to the park to meet up with Melissa and Mark for a very chilly picnic!  C was somewhat tired by this point and wasn't the kindest friend in the world, but we had fun and got any leftover energy out before heading home for some rest!!

They were playing SO SO SO nicely together this morning!

Videos:
The first video is of S on the "magic carpet" ride and the second is of C.  Please excuse the screaming kid in the background - at least it wasn't mine!!:)

Both kids are on the bottom left w/ their backs to me.

Saturday
This morning we had plans to meet the Rhymers(who now live in Columbia so we don't get to see them nearly as much as we'd like!) at a local Easter Egg Hunt.  However, the rain made us change things up and after picking up eggs from the egg hunt(literally, we walked in and they handed each kid a bag filled with about 20 eggs and we turned around and walked back out - but not before S saw two people she knew from school, the little socialite!) we came back to our house and everyone took turns hiding the eggs and then the kids would find them... again, and again, and again!!!  S, Callie and Cayden could have done this all day, but C was not completely into it!  He was more interested in stuffing them with things he found in his room - crazy kid!  We ate lunch and and enjoyed adult conversation while the kids played amazingly well together!  We hated to see them go, but are excited to visit with them hopefully this summer!:)

Proud of my Pinterest Peeps Cake:)

BFFs:) Seriously, Amy and I were having to remind them
of who the other was before we got together, but within 3 minutes of the Rhymers arriving,
these 2(well, really, all 4 of them) were playing like they were
best friends!!

It was tough to get a group shot!  HA!!

We had so much fun...we will definitely have to make some summer plans. Callie is already asking when Stella can play again. Cayden has said he already told Colton to come play so he gets to first LOL
