S and I had been twice before together but this was C's first time:)
We parked in a lot a few blocks away and took the trolley to the game. The kiddos love a trolley ride!!
The library system's reading program was celebrated tonight and the kids were able to walk around the outfield before the game started! S did this last year but still was loving it and C was completely enthralled with the entire thing! Both kids were looking up into the stands with awe as we walked around!
After we finished walking, we found our seats, got comfortable and I handed out snacks for the kids. Then, they put the tarp over the infield for the coming rain. Awesome, rain delay!:( We waited about 30 minutes, but the rain was not slowing up and we decided to call it a night since it was way past bedtime already and we'd only planned to stay for a couple innings anyway! This was a good choice because we later found out that the game was cancelled!!!
We were all disappointed to miss the game, but things were patched up a bit for the kids with another fun trolley ride back to the car:)
