A Week of Play

As the first day of school is next week(what!?!?!), we have been trying to see as many friends as possible this week and have enjoyed our play dates and doing other fun stuff this week!!!

We met my friend, Amanda, and her kids at the pool.  The kids continue to swim like fish!  I didn't get a picture of Darcy and Grady, but did manage to get a picture of Darcy's friend - ha!  Oh well:)

We went to the pool again with some friends from Brushy Creek Baptist Church where the kids have been at school for the past 2 years.  None of these kiddos will be going to the same school next year:( So sad, because these were some sweet friends and we have wonderful memories of times with them.  We are hoping to continue to get them together every once in a while, but we all know it won't be the same!

One day S and I had dentist appointments(no cavities!!) and afterwards I promised the kids a trip to the zoo!  Apparently I was not the only one with this great idea, because half of Greenville was there!  We always love seeing the animals and the giraffes continue to be a favorite for all of us!  The weather was unseasonably cool so between that and the last week of summer, I think it was a prime destination!  A great day for the zoo!

Our Sunday School class has been having playgroups all summer and this morning was our last one!  We had wanted to go to a park and play, but the weather did not cooperate so instead we went to PlayNation and played at an "indoor park"!  The kids had fun, despite yet again a very popular destination, playing and eating an end-of-summer-cake to celebrate our last one!  Again, all of these kids are at different schools, but at least they still see each other frequently at church:)

This afternoon, we closed on our new lot for our new house!!  Let the building begin!  The kids and I had a little time to kill before dinner, and since we were already downtown at the attorney's office and it seemed like a waste to turn around and go right back home, we spent some time at Linky Stone Park.  They had more fun than I thought they would running around so I am glad we went!
