Day 3: Magic Kingdom

Wednesday was our day to hang out at the condo, so we were rested and ready to go Thursday morning and made our way back to the Magic Kingdom.

We covered Frontierland and Adventureland today.  This side of the park is pretty much empty first thing in the morning so we enjoyed the quiet for a couple hours before the rest of the crowds found us!

First up, Big Thunder, which we rode twice, back to back, with no wait!  We'd intended on doing Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean next, but both were not working that morning, so on to Jungle Cruise and Magic Carpets.  By the time we finished these, Splash Mountain was up and running again so we backtracked over there for a ride that became one of our absolute favorites of the trip!  We ended up riding it 5 times during the week and every.single.time M was in the front and got soaked!  It was hysterical!!  We then met Woody and Jessie.  It was about lunch time by this point and we'd made note last trip to eat lunch on Tom Sawyer's Island so that is exactly what we did and it was so peaceful sitting there on the river:)

After lunch and some island exploration, we went back to the mainland and rode Pirates of the Caribbean(neither kid thought this was very fun, and in fact C refused to go on it again, he may have been scared which is something that had concerned us before we went on it!), watched the Country Bear Jamboree, rode the Riverboat and then settled in with ice creams to wait for the parade.  C was totally into the parade and got the attention of a lot of the characters (Captain Hook was giving him the "I've got my eyes on you" hand motions, C stuck his tongue out at Smee and he came over shaking his finger and giving C a high five, Chip and Dale came and gave him a high five and so did the White Rabbit - C was quite a hit!!!).

After the parade we went and met Peter Pan, a must for both kids this trip, rode Magic Carpets again and then used our last fast passes for Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain.  The line for Splash Mountain was unusually short so we rode it stand by and then turned around and did it again with our fast pass!:)

Again, we ended up staying at the park longer than expected so we chose to eat dinner at Pecos Bill's!

Lovely day!!!

We beat the crowds to the park:)

But check it out just before they let us in!!!

Thunder Mountain - scared or excited... maybe a little of both!
