The Nutcracker - Once Upon a Time in Greenville

S performed in her first Nutcracker this weekend and did an amazing job!!!  The show is so professionally done and S was able to really experience what it was like to dance with professionals!

She was cast as a red bird and got to come out on stage three different times!  Her favorite part was getting pushed across the stage in a sleigh, riding with Clara!  Oh, she did such a great job and you could just tell she loved being a part of the show!!

In a production of this caliber, there is a LOT of rehearsals and practices for months and months!!!  But, the last week is BRUTAL!!!!  We were downtown pretty much every night this week at the Peace Center doing one thing or another!!

Wednesday was tech rehearsal and was very long and boring...

Striking a pose before heading back stage!

Heading out to the seats in the auditorium.

Goofing around with the other cast members!

Being on this side of the production, I have a whole new
respect for what dancers do!
 Thursday was dress rehearsal...

I was not backstage helping on this day because I had a little
guy that I needed to take care of!  So I dropped S off and went
exploring with my little guy!

We made a stop at The Chocolate Moose for cake pops!

We played with bulldozers!

Friday was her first show...
Watching the Barbie Nutcracker

All the "Act I Birds" - they were all so sweet!!

Full cast picture before the show!

In the wings getting ready to go on!!
 Saturday was her second show...

Grandpa and Gigi met us for dinner before the show!

I went backstage to help get everyone dressed before heading back
to sit in the audience and enjoy the show!

C's first Nutcracker - he may or may not have fallen asleep
at one point:)

Ready to see our little princess on stage!

Proud grandparents!

More proud grandparents!

And a super-proud Mommy and Daddy!!
