The Good and the Bad

Yesterday after I picked the kids up from school, I surprised them with a fun outing!

First stop was Cakes By U!  It was so so so great!!  The kids were able to each make a cupcake and chose their cake flavor, icing color, icing flavor(both kids picked marshmallow flavor!), decorating tip and sprinkles!  The lady working there was so helpful and made sure we had everything that we needed!  We will definitely do this again:)

Next stop was to visit the Compassion Experience where we were able to literally walk through the life and lifestyle of two different children in third world countries that live in poverty!  It was eye-opening and humbling to say the least!!  I think it showed all of us how much we have to be thankful for and to really appreciate the blessings that we take for granted!  We ended up sponsoring a little four-year-old boy from Africa!  The kids can't wait to write him notes and send him pictures!  I am definitely glad that we did this!!

We had a little time before we had to get C to basketball practice, so we stopped and checked out some lights called Greenville Griswold!  Amazing!!!! Not only did we enjoy the lights on that particular house, but both of the houses on either side of the house were hysterical(see below!!)!

After basketball practice, we stopped at one more light display that is just up the street from our house called Turner Family Christmas!  How have I never known these were there!?!?!  They were awesome as well and it was set up in a drive through fashion which was neat!

Then, after all that fun, C came down with the gross stomach bug on today!  Poor kid!! Hopefully it has passed and nobody else gets it for Christmas!!!!
